C. TODD BLAYLOCK

Charles “Todd” Blaylock, 50, a resident of Shreveport, Louisiana, died Friday, April 21,

2017.

He was born Oct. 14, 1966, in Fargo, North Dakota, to Charles and Nelda Blaylock. Todd worked in constructi­on and was of the Baptist faith.

He was preceded in death by his maternal grandparen­ts, Herbert and Nell Neal; and his paternal grandparen­ts, Oscar and Polly Blaylock.

Todd is survived by his parents, Charles and Nelda Blaylock; a sister, Kristi Kelley; a brother, Paul Blaylock, and his wife, Brenda; three nieces; and two nephews, all of El Dorado; and a host of aunts, uncles, and cousins.

A graveside service will be held at 10 a.m. Thursday, April 27, 2017, at Smackover Cemetery under the direction of Young’s Funeral Directors and with the Rev. Carly Davis officiatin­g.

Memorials may be made to the First Baptist Church of Smackover, Family Life Center, 201 W. Seventh St., Smackover, AR 71762.

SHIRLEY H. SMITH

Shirley Hogue Smith, 62, of Hampton, passed away Saturday, April 22, 2017 in El Dorado.

She was born Dec. 8, 1954 in Bradley County to the late Louis Gene Hogue and Geraldine Hill Hogue.

She was a secretary for Southern Contractor­s Inc. in El Dorado, and was a Christian.

In addition to her parents, she was preceded in death by a son, Eric Murphy; and her grandparen­ts, Henry J. and Bessie Turrel Hill, Paul Hogue, and Lillie Bell

Lillard Hogue.

Survivors include one son, Scott Murphy (Kasey) of El Dorado; two daughters, Karen Griffin and her husband, Richard, of El Dorado, and Kristie Doolin and her fiance, Calvin Outlaw of Johnsville; she was Ninny to her grandchild­ren, four grandsons, Zach, Raygan, Gage, and Triton; three granddaugh­ters, Lauren, Jessica, and Sarah; one great-grandson, Ryser; one great-granddaugh­ter, Ella; two brothers, Bobby Hogue of Crossett, and Paul Hogue of Monticello; three sisters, Mary Lynn Dougan of Hampton, Sissy Hicks and her husband, Mike, of Crossett and Georgia O’Barr and her husband, Tony, of El Dorado; and numerous nieces, nephews, aunts, uncles, cousins and friends.

Services will be at 2 p.m. Wednesday, April 26, at Stephenson-Dearman Chapel with burial to follow in Mount Tabor Cemetery.

Visitation will be from 6 to 8 p.m. today at the home of Karen and Richard Griffin, 523 Hargett Road, El Dorado. Online guestbook www. stephenson­dearman. com.
