City Arrests:

• Carl Brown III, 35, of 1107 E. First, was arrested on April 27 for an Arkansas Parole Board warrant for parole violation. Chelsea S. Stewart, 30, of 1434 E. Faulkner, was also taken into custody on a warrant for residentia­l burglary. Police said they executed the warrant for Brown at a residence in the 2200 block of Nevada, and Stewart and another man were inside the residence at the time. According to a police report, Stewart had been identified as a suspect in a residentia­l burglary that was reported on April 2 in the 1600 block of East Faulkner. A total of $166 cash was reported stolen from the house and a vehicle there. While executing the arrest warrant at the Nevada Street residence, police said they found a loaded handgun near the back steps of the house. Police said the other man who was inside the residence at the time was briefly detained and released, and they later learned that the man had provided a false name.

• Cliffdeon K. Miner, 24, of 120 Georgia, and Travon D. Fields, 30, of 550 Beverly Dr., were arrested on April 27 for possession of a controlled substance with intent to deliver and resisting arrest. An officer working off-duty at the Vineyards of El Dorado, 550 Beverly, reported that he was conducting a courtesy check of the apartment complex when at 10:30 p.m. when he noticed an unfamiliar vehicle on the parking lot with the engine running and lights off. The officer noted there is a curfew for the property, and as he approached the vehicle, Miner opened the door. A strong odor of marijuana wafted from the vehicle, and a “moderate sized bag” of marijuana was laying near the handle of the vehicle door, the officer said. According to a police report, Miner attempted to exit the vehicle, and the officer placed his hand on Miner’s shoulder and asked him to remain in the vehicle. Officer said Miner, who was visibly agitated, told him, “Man, get your hands off of me!” The officer said Miner continued his attempts to exit the vehicle and Fields, who was a passenger, also tried to exit. The officer said he advised both men to remain in the vehicle, and he requested police backup. A second officer arrived on the scene with a police dog. Police said both men struggled with them as they tried to take the men into custody. The second officer said Fields turned suddenly at one point, prompting the police dog to lunge at Fields. Police said Fields sustained a scratch on his left forearm that was caused by the dog’s tooth. Fields then submitted to arrest and was transporte­d to Medical Center of South Arkansas, where he was treated and released Police reported seeing a bag underneath Fields’s vehicle, which was parked next to the vehicle in which he and Miner had been sitting. The first officer said it appeared to be the same bag that had been on Miner’s lap when he first made contact with men. Police said the bag contained marijuana, $300 cash, and a driver’s license belonging to Miner.

• Erik S. Atkinson, 28, of 214 Chula Vista and Zachary D. Hendrix, 24, of 603 W. Fifth, were arrested on April 24 in connection to a burglary that was reported on March 10 at a residence in the 600 block of Marrable Hill. A woman told police then that a safe containing $6,700 cash, a check for a state income tax return, and two digital cameras wax missing from the residence. Hendrix and Atkinson developed as suspects in the burglary, and warrants were subsequent­ly issued for their arrests.

• Carol L. Crawford, 48, of 706 W. Fifth, was arrested on April 24 for terroristi­c threatenin­g, first-degree, and obstructin­g government­al operations, were called to the Fifth Street residence in reference to an unwanted person, who was later identified as Crawford. Police said they made contact with Crawford at the intersecti­on of Fifth and Sixth, and she provided a false name. A woman who also lives at the residence in the 700 block of West Fifth told police that she was leaving to run an errand when she saw Crawford lying in a neighbor’s front yard. The woman said that when she returned, Crawford got up, aggressive­ly approached her and identified herself with the same false name that Crawford later provided to police. The woman said Crawford told her that “she would have her arrested for living in my house.” The woman said that when her teenage son yelled for Crawford to leave his mother alone, Crawford called him a racial slur and threatened to shoot him multiple times, the woman said.

• LaDariun B. Green, 28, of 836 Feed Mill Road, was arrested during a traffic stop on April 24 on a warrant for possession of a firearm by certain persons. Officers said Green was “moving around extensivel­y inside the vehicle” prior to the traffic stop in the 500 block of West Cedar, and during a search of the vehicle, they found a handgun underneath the seat where Green had been sitting.

• Decory T. Henry, 31, of 803 Robinson, was arrested on April 24 during a traffic stop in the area of Cedar and Newton on a warrant for four counts of delivery of methamphet­amine.

City Reports:

• Police were called on April 27

to Spencer Auto Sales, 1401 W. Hillsboro, in reference to a burglary. The owner of the business said a window was broken and several items disturbed. No items were reported missing. • A woman told police on April 27

that someone broke into her residence in the 1300 block of West First and stole a video game system. • Police responded on April 27 to

a report of criminal mischief at First Assembly of God Church, 2225 W. Hillsboro. The fuel lines had been severed on two church buses, according to a police report. • A woman told police on April 26

that someone broke into her vehicle at her residence in the 900 block of West Seventh and stole a debit card, cellular phone and driver’s license. She said she later learned that the suspect(s) had used the debit card at several local businesses, primarily convenienc­e stores, with purchases totaling $234.67. • On April 26, a woman told police

that someone broke into her residence in the 900 block of West Cook and stole a dirt bike and a key. The woman identified a possible suspect. • A woman reported on April 26 a

burglary at her residence in the 1300 block of West First. The woman said a laptop computer and a bottle of pills were missing. • A man told police on April 26 that

someone stole an ATV from his residence in the 200 block of East Pecan. • A man reported on April 25 the

theft of six tires from his yard in the

800 block of South Smith. • A four-wheeler was reported stolen

on April 25 from a residence in the 900 block of Crestwood. • A woman told police on April 24 that

someone broke into her residence in the 600 block of Miller Drive and stole two TVs and a stereo system. • On April 24, employees with the

El Dorado Water Utilities requested officers’ assistance as they locked off a water meter at a residence in the 1100 block o East First. An employee later reported a theft of services totaling $1,138.16 at the residence. She said the theft occurred between April 12 and 24 and that a suspect had been identified. • A man told police on April 24 that

someone broke into a residence in the 600 block of North Parkway and stole an air compressor and a bath faucet. He said workers who are renovating the house noticed the items missing on April 19. • On April 23, a man told police that

a group of males jumped him in the 100 block of East Midway. He said the males pulled up in a car, exited the vehicle, ran toward him and began punching him with their fists. He said they then threw him to the ground and kicked him. He said a subject began walking toward the group, and the suspects got back into the vehicle and drove away. The man was transporte­d to Medical Center of South Arkansas for treatment of minor facial injuries, police said. • A woman told police on April 22

that her boyfriend shoved her to the ground during an argument on a trail near the suspect’s residence in the 1100 block of Burnside. The woman she told the suspect that she was going to call police, and he took her cellular phone and left the area. The woman told police she was eightand-half months pregnant. She was transporte­d by ambulance to Medical Center of South Arkansas, where complained of pain in her buttocks and groin. Police said the woman had no visible signs of injury. • A woman told police on April 22 that

someone broke into her residence in the 600 block of South Flenniken and stole two TVs, a video game system, nine video games, and a pair of shoes. The woman said she later recovered the items, with the exception of seven video games, on a vacant lot across from her residence. She said noted the items were wet.
