Gertie Parks, 82, of Strong, passed away on May 19, 2017 at the Medical Center of South Arkansas in El Dorado.
Funeral arrangements will be announced by Sims Mortuary Inc.

Funeral for Sandy Lee Morgan, 58, of Camden, will be held at 10 a.m. today at Eagle Mills Baptist Church with the Rev. Jody Tillery and Dave King officiating.
Burial will follow in Bell Chapel Cemetery near Chidester, under the direction of Proctor Funeral Home of Camden.

Services for Charles George Sneed, 70, of Smackover, will be held at 2 p.m. today at Young’s Chapel, with Brother Gary Riley officiating.
Interment will be at Lisbon Methodist Cemetery under the direction of Young’s Funeral Directors.
Obituaries LARRY G. GUNNELS
Larry Gene Gunnels, 78, of Magnolia, passed away Sunday, May 21, 2017 at his residence.
Larry was born on Sept. 5, 1938, in Magnolia. He was a member of the Antioch East Baptist Church and served in the United States Army.
Larry was preceded in death by his parents, Earl Jefferson and Myrtle Nellie (Young) Gunnels; wife, Lana Jo Gunnels; and two infant brothers.
He is survived by his sons, Danny Gunnels and wife, Julie, of Emerson and Jody Gunnels and wife, Annette, of Magnolia; grandchildren, Sidney Gunnels of Magnolia and Kinsley, Kagen, and Karley Gunnels of Emerson; brothers, Gaylord Gunnels of Magnolia, and Glen Gunnels and wife, Gail, of Magnolia; sisters, Nell Dees of Magnolia, and Libby Lewis and husband, Carroll, of Magnolia.
Funeral will be held at 10 a.m. on Wednesday, May 24, at the Lewis Funeral Home Chapel in Magnolia with Bro. Donnie Lewis officiating.
Burial will follow at the Antioch East Cemetery under the direction of Lewis Funeral Home, Inc. of Magnolia.
Visitation will be from 6 until 8 p.m. today at the funeral home.
Pallbearers will be Allan Baker, Gaylon Gunnels, Jeff Gunnels, Randy Gunnels, Matt Young, and Tim Wooley. Honorary pallbearer will be C.W. Young.
The family requests that memorials are made to the Antioch East Cemetery, c/o Donna Leslie, 1070 Columbia 295, Magnolia, AR 71753.

JENNIFER PARNELL
Jennifer Parnell, 41, of Prescott, passed away in Prescott, on Thursday, May 18, 2017.
Jennifer was born Nov. 1, 1975 in El Dorado, to Mike and Rachel Head Parnell.
She was preceded in death by her mother, Rachel Burkeen; and step-mother, Cathy Parnell.
Survivors include three children, Clay, Ashlyn, and Jenna Parnell; father, Mike Parnell of El Dorado; step-father, Vernon Burkeen; and step-sister, Wesla Vanderford.
Graveside services were held in Arlington Memorial Cemetery, in El Dorado, at 2 p.m. on Monday, May 22, 2017, with Bro. Jerry Hightower officiating, under the direction of Herndon Pharr Funeral Home of Hope.
