Agapé House Childrenʼs Home hires full-time House Parent
Shaneil “PJ” Yarbrough is the newly appointed Executive Director and Administrator of Agape House Children’s Home, Inc. a non-profit group foster home serving foster children in and around Union County that are unable to live in their homes due to abuse, neglect, or other life events.
Shaneil affectionately known as “P.J.”
(short for Precious
Jewel), is a graduate of Southern Arkansas University with a degree in Education. With a passion for children, PJ has dedicated nearly twenty years working in several capacities: elementary school teacher, early childhood education advisor, preschool administrator, and she worked as the Regional Coordinator for Arkansas State University Childhood Services for a number of years.
She is enthusiastically involved in both community service and ministry serving alongside her husband Larry D. Yarbrough, Pastor of Changing Lives Ministries Church. She is volunteer mentor for young girls, speaks to both youth and women’s ministries, and is a highly sought after keynote speaker and presenter for early childhood education conferences.
She and her husband reside in El Dorado with their two sons, Larry D. Jr., “L.J.,” 15 and Lance, 13.
Becky Mitchell is the newly hired fulltime House Parent of the Alexander House at Agape House Children’s Home.
Becky Mitchell is a Tennessee native and has lived in El Dorado for three years. She is a graduate of Berea College in Kentucky and Southwestern Baptist Theological Seminary in Fort Worth, TX, with degrees in Education.
She has worked with children for the past 35 years as a teacher and children’s minister in Tennessee, Kentucky,
Texas, and Arkansas.
In her spare time, she loves to craft and quilt.
Becky also loves spoiling her many nieces and nephews. She is a member of First Baptist Church here in El Dorado.
Anne Hegi is a newly appointed member of the Agape House Children’s Home Board of Directors.
Anne is a native of New Orleans, but has lived most of her life in El Dorado. She is a graduate of the University of Arkansas with a degree in journalism. She has primarily worked as a stay at home mother and wife, but has also worked as a pr/marketing consultant for MCSA, the El Dorado School District, and most recently for the Union
County Community Foundation. She currently serves on the board of Interfaith
Help Services and has previously served on the Campfire and South Arkansas Historical Preservation Society Boards. She volunteers at the Agape House and for the Haiti Education Foundation.
She and her husband, Chris, have two grown children and are members of First Baptist Church where they serve in the youth department.
