NOTICE OF PASSING

DAVID PEARSON David Allen Pearson, 63 of El Dorado, AR; passed away on June 14, 2017 while vacationin­g at Zion Natl. Park near St. George, UT. Funeral arrangemen­ts will be announced by Youngs Funeral Directors.

OBITUARIES

FRANCES RHODES Frances Jeanette Fuller Rhodes of Junction City, AR died in her home June 16, 2017 and was 84 years young.

Jeanette is survived by her husband, Milam Kingsley Rhodes of Junction City,

AR and is preceded in death by her parents

Fuller and Eunice Hanry Fuller along with her adopted brother Gerald Hanry, Sr.

Jeanette was born on June 30, 1932 to Red and Eunice Fuller. Jeanette attended and graduated from Junction City High School and then completed her education at The Green School of Business. Jeanette joined the Anna Giller Trust after graduation and retired over 50 years later having dedicated her career to the Anna Giller Trust. She married a handsome sailor by the name of Milam Rhodes on November 15, 1957 and they remained married for 59 years.

Jeanette was baptized a Baptist at the First Baptist Church of Junction City in 1949. Jeanette was an admirer of fine clothes and fast vehicles. She played softball in her youth, was an outstandin­g cook, and excellent judge of character. She looked forward to listening to the Junction City Dragon football games on the radio on Friday nights. Profession­ally Jeanette was admired and recognized for her vast knowledge, organizati­onal skills and business acumen.

Jeanette passed peacefully in her home after a lengthy illness. A special thank you to her dedicated caregivers Stephanie Ford, Patricia Robinson, Tyshika Ford and Dorothy Miller.

Visitation is scheduled for Tuesday, June 20th at 1:00 p.m. at Young’s Funeral Directors, with services to follow at 2:00 p.m. in the Young’s Chapel. Interment will follow at Roselawn Cemetery in Junction City under the direction of Young’s Funeral Directors. Longtime family friend, Pastor Edith Hill of the Presbyteri­an Church of Ruston Louisiana will officiate the celebratio­n of Jeanette’s life.

In lieu of flowers, memorials may be made to Hope Landing of El Dorado, Hopelandin­g.com.

The family extends many thanks to pallbearer­s Montgomery Wilson “Wil” Griffin, Jim Hanry, Lawrence Hanry, Richard Hanry, Carl Mark Johnson and Duke Allison.

JOYCELYN CAMERON Joycelyn M. Cameron, 90 of El Dorado, AR passed away Saturday, June 17, 2017 at Hudson Memorial Nursing Home.

Born January 12, 1927 in Norphlet, AR she was the daughter of Robert Andrew and Emma Maggie Flournoy Matlock. Joycelyn was a homemaker and a member of Wyatt Baptist Church.

Preceding her in death along with her parents were her husband Jack D. Cameron and a sister, Helen Adcock.

Survivors include her son, Gary Cameron (Denise) of Parkers Chapel and their children, Jeff Cameron of Shreveport and Sharon Guthrie (William) of Humble, TX and their children Reed and Kenzie Guthrie, and her daughter, Judy Welch (Danny) of Keithville, LA and their children, Amanda Rich (Chris) of Longview, TX and their children Sloan and Aubree Rich; Cameron Vick (Carrie) of Keithville, LA and their son, Jackson Vick; Wendy Mathews (Danny) of Shreveport and their children Hannah and Hayden Mathews; Daniel Welch (Jessica) of San Antonio, TX and their children, Jase and Teal Welch; and Caleb Welch (Megan) of Bossier City, LA and their children, Elaina and Lucas Welch. Also surviving is a sister, Dorothy Edwards of Plano, TX.

Funeral service will be held at 11:00 a.m. Tuesday, June 20, 2017 at Wyatt Baptist Church with Rev. Donny Hymer officiatin­g. Interment will follow in Scotland Cemetery under the direction of Young’s Funeral Directors.

The family will receive friends at the church from 10:00 a.m. until service time.

The family wishes to extend special thanks to the staff of Hudson Memorial Nursing Home and the nurses and staff of Life Touch Hospice for their loving care of Joycelyn.

VAUGHN RICHMOND Vaughn “Lee “Richmond, 54, of El Dorado passed on Monday, June 12, 2017 at Medical Center South Arkansas. He was born June 27, 1962 in El Dorado, AR to Joe L. Richmond and the late Nodie Mae Phillips. He was a member of St. James Baptist Church and a

Army Veteran.

He was preceded in death by his mother, Nodie

Mae Phillips; one sister, Odie Faye

Phillips and two brothers James Phillips and Lonnie T. Phillips.

He leaves to cherish his memory his loving wife; Carolyn Pierce Richmond; daughters, Chaunce Pierce and Le Tashia Richmond; his father, Joe L. Richmond; sisters, Alice Faye Richmond Calloway of El Dorado, AR and Addie T. Bell of Chicago, IL; brothers, Howard Buggs (Pete), Dewie Ray Buggs, Charles Buggs, Joe Luther Richmond, Willie T. Richmond all of El Dorado, AR, Joe Laverne Richmond of Little Rock, AR and Jasper Earl Richmond of Monticello.

Public visitation will be Monday, June 19, 2017 from 2-4:30 p.m. at Sims Mortuary. Funeral services will be at 11:00 a.m. on Tuesday, June 20, 2017 at St. James Baptist Church in El Dorado with Pastor George Calloway, eulogist. Interment in Mt.
