EL DORADO — A Domino’s Pizza delivery driver was held at gun-point and robbed Sunday evening, according to an El Dorado Police Department report.

A routine delivery of pizza to the 1000 block of Texas Avenue turned into a robbery for a Domino’s Pizza employee. Although no money was stolen, the order he was delivering was taken by the culprits.

The victim said that he had multiple orders that he was going to deliver and, as he was locating the receipts, he was approached from behind by two young males.

He claimed that someone yelled at him and as he turned around, he realized that they had walked up behind him.

Both were wearing white do-rags and had their white shirts pulled up to cover the bottom half of their faces, according to the police report. They wore blue jeans and one had on black tennis shoes and the other was wearing white shoes.

The taller of the two suspects held a black handgun that was aimed in the victim’s direction, according to the report.

The victim claimed that he was told not to move, so he placed the delivery bag containing the order on the hood of his car and put his hands in the air.

The suspect holding the gun told his accomplice to grab the delivery bag, which held four pizzas, a cookie-brownie and “cinna sticks.” After grabbing the food, they ran into a nearby field, fleeing southwest from the place of the incident.

Following the direction that the victim indicated, one police officer retraced the path that the offenders took across the field, where they found what they believed to be fresh footprints.

Officers found several slices of pizza at the corner of East Center Street and Texas Avenue while another slice was discovered along East Center Street. They then located a pizza box on South Smith Avenue with an order number corresponding with what was being delivered, which was taken as evidence.

The investigation is ongoing.
