ODA W. ROBERTS The Rev. Oda Wayne “Tuck” Roberts, 78, passed away on July 4, 2017, in Monroe, Louisiana.

Services will be under the direction of Golden’s Funeral Home of Bastrop, Louisiana.

RODELL KING Rodell King, 84, of El Dorado, passed away on July 4, 2017 at Gracepoint Health and Rehab.

Arrangemen­ts will be announced by Sims Mortuary, Inc.

JUDIE SMITH Judie Smith, 69, of El Dorado, passed away on July 4, 2017 at Oak Ridge Nursing Home.

JADA M. DARDEN Visitation for Jada Marlette Darden, 92, of Union County will be from 10 a.m. to noon today at Perry’s Funeral Chapels.

A 2 p.m. graveside service will be at Arlington Cemetery with Bro. Larry Hudson officiatin­g, under direction of Perry’s Funeral Chapels.

JOHN C. HASTINGS Funeral for John Charles Hastings, 83, of El Dorado, will be held at 10 a.m. today in Young’s Chapel.

Interment will follow in Arlington Memorial Park under the direction of Young’s Funeral Directors with full military honors.

DAVID ROSS Services for David Ross, 79, of El Dorado, who passed away on June 28, 2017,will be held at 11 a.m. on Saturday, July 8, 2017 at the First Baptist Church of El Dorado. Burial will follow at Arlington Cemetery in El Dorado, under the direction of Paradise Funeral Home of Bernice, Louisiana.

OLLIE F. LUMSEY Ollie Faye Champion Lumsey, 74, of El Dorado, died Thursday,

June 29, 2017 at the Medical Center of South Arkansas.

She was born on April 16, 1943 in Strong. She was the daughter of Harry and Roberta Champion. She was a member of Union Mission Baptist Church,where she served as a member of the Usher Board and the Women’s Missionary Society.

She was preceded in death by her parents; husband, Curtis C.Lumsey; two sons, Steve Lumsey and Rickey Dell Lumsey; three sisters, Arcie Bull, Shirley Carroll, and Esther McHenry; and two brothers, Nathaniel Champion and Henry “Sonny Man” Champion.

Survivors are two daughters, Denise Lumsey of El Dorado and Lisa Lumsey of Milwaukee, Wisconsin; two sons, Curtis Lumsey of El Dorado and Randy Lumsey of Houston; three step-sons, Cory Lumsey of El Dorado, Charles Lumsey of Strong, and

James Lumsey of Little Rock; 10 grandchild­ren; and 26 great grandchild­ren.

Service will be at 11 a.m. on Friday, July 7, 2017 at Union Mission Baptist Church with the Rev. Daniel Willis officiatin­g. Burial will follow in Gill Cemetery in Strong under the direction of Andrews Funeral Home. There will be no public viewing at the funeral home.

ROBERT A. PRIMM Robert Alexander Primm, 69, passed away on July 4, 2017.

Bob was born on June 5, 1948 in Beaumont, Texas to Neil and Everjean Primm. He was known for singing, playing his guitar and making everyone around him laugh. He loved Jesus, his grand kids, hunting and fishing, and sports of all kinds.

Mr. Primm is survived by his wife, Debbie Primm; daughters, Carrie Wood, Vanna Shackelfor­d, and Robbye Davis; sons, Craig Primm and Tim Primm; grandchild­ren, Leighton Wood, Gunner Wood, Caleb Shackelfor­d, Mackenzie Shackelfor­d, Carter Shackelfor­d, Bram Housley, Cayte Housley, Austin Primm, Avery Primm, and Kinsler Primm; eight brothers, Dennis Primm, Travis Primm, Neil Primm, Marvin Primm, Lonnie Primm, Authur Primm, Doug Primm and Kevin Primm; and one sister, Liz Avery.

Proctor Funeral Home of Camden is in charge of the arrangemen­ts.

Visitation will be held from 1 until 2 p.m. on Friday at Proctor Funeral Home, followed by services at 2 p.m. and interment at Lakeside Cemetery. To sign the

DAVID A. WHATLEY David Allen Whatley passed away on July 3, 2017 after a brief illness. He was 63.

David was born

Feb. 10, 1954 in El Dorado, t o Eldridge J. And Edith Little Whatley.

He was preceded in death by his parents; and a brother, Larry Whatley.

David is survived by a daughter, Stephanie Ingle; and two granddaugh­ters, Madison Ingle and Morgan Anders. He is also survived by a brother Joseph (Cathy) Whatley; and two sisters, Barbara (Robert) Dotson and Brenda (Phillip) Barton; as well as several nieces and nephews.

A memorial service will be held at Pleasant Grove Baptist Church at the corner of Pleasant Grove Road and Hibanks Road at 3 p.m. on Saturday, July 8.
