Seimond Evans, 44, of El Dorado, died Sunday, July 9, 2017 at his home.

Mrs. Wallie Burnside Purvis, 79, of El Dorado, passed away Monday, July 10, 2017 at her son’s home in Maryville, Tennessee.

Services are incomplete at this time and will be announced by Bailey Funeral Home, El Dorado.

Services for Rodell King, 84, of El Dorado will be at 11 a.m. today at St. John Baptist Church with the Rev. Barry Dobson officiatin­g.

Interment will be at Lott Burgy Cemetery in El Dorado under the direction of Sims Mortuary.

Services for Jimmie Lee McElroy, 66, will be held at 1 p.m. today at the Mount Union Baptist Church in Marion, Louisiana, with the Rev. Willie D. Simmons, pastor, and the Lev. Linzie Riley officiatin­g.

Interment will follow at the Concord Cemetery in Marion, under the direction of Memorial Funeral Home in Farmervill­e, Louisiana.

Obituaries CAROLYN BRYANT

Carolyn Bryant, 76, of El Dorado, passed away Friday, July 7, 2017 in Hot Springs.

Born Feb. 11, 1941 in El Dorado, she was the daughter of John H. and Polly Burson Davidson.

Mrs. Bryant was a retired school teacher and of the Assembly of God faith.

Preceding her in death, along with her parents, was a brother, Larry Davidson.

Survivors include her son, John Bryant of Little Rock; and a sister, Johnette Davidson of Norphlet.

Funeral will be held at 11 a.m. on Wednesday, July 12, 2017 in Young’s Chapel. Interment will follow in Rest Haven Memorial Gardens under the direction of Young’s Funeral Directors.

Visitation will be held from 10 a.m. until service time Wednesday at Young’s.

DORA J. WHITE

Dora Jean Burson White, 88, of Strong, passed away July 9, 2017 at the John R. Williamson Hospice House.

Dora was born May 29,

1929 to the late Thurmon

Joseph and

Relda L. Reynolds

Burson. She was a member of Jack Mayfield Methodist Church in Huttig, as well as being an artist, a homemaker and loved her family.

She was preceded in death by her parents; her husband, Jimmy Dell White; and one son, Jimmie Terry White.

Dora’s survivors include her son, Randy White (Tracey); granddaugh­ters, Cammie Poole (James) and Leslie Jones (Scott); Hayden White, Amy D’Orsay (Claytion); great-granddaugh­ters, Sidney Poole and Elania D’Orsay; a host of nieces and nephews; life long best friend, Nelda Meshell; as well as honorary granddaugh­ter and nurse, Trudy Willis.

Visitation will be held from 6 until 8 p.m. today at the First Baptist Church of Strong.

Services will be held at 10 a.m. Wednesday, July 12, 2017 also at First Baptist Church of Strong with Bro. Neil Hamilton and Bro. Scotty Guillott officiatin­g. Interment will follow at Strong Cemetery under the direction of Perry’s Funeral Chapels.
