Emmanuel Ray Jenkins, 69, of Camden, passed away on July 6, 2017 at Ouachita County Medical Center in Camden.

He was born in Camden, on Sept. 21, 1947, to Rosie Lee Jenkins.

He was a 1964 graduate of Lincoln High School and attended Job Corps. He worked as the marquee manager for the Malco Theater; Labor Local Union #788, the City of Camden and as a burial agent for the Williams Burial Associatio­n and support staff of Williams Funeral Home on Adams Avenue. He was a member of CME Temple Church and head pastor of both Whitist Chapel AME Church and New Home AME Church of the Stephens Circuit for over 20 years. He was the founder and pastor of Jehovah Jireh Church Ministries in Camden.

He was preceded in death by his mother, Rosie Jenkins; and one brother, Larry Jenkins (2015).

He is survived by his wife, Deseree; his children, Michael Rowe of Oakridge, Tennessee, Antonio Cole of Texarkana, Texas, Stacey Horton of Texarkana, Texas, William McCoy Jr., of Camden, and LaShunda Weaver of Camden; 23 grandchild­ren; one great-grandchild; three sisters, Brenda Joyce Foreman of Camden, Abbie Renee Bragg of Hot Springs, and Ora Jenkins of Little Rock; and two brothers, Grady L. Jenkins of Camden, and Alfred Roland Jenkins of Stephens.

Public visitation will be from noon until 6 p.m. today at Williams Funeral Home Van Buren. Funeral will be at 11 a.m. on Saturday, July 15, 2017 at Greater New Calvary COGIC with Lieutenant Ora Jenkins, eulogist. Interment will be in Eternal Rest Cemetery under the direction of Williams Funeral Home Van Buren.
