REGINALD JOHNSON Reginald Johnson, 33, of El Dorado, died on Friday, July 14, 2017, at his residence.

HENRY L. BAILES JR. Henry Levi “H. L.” Bailes Jr., 89, of Rogers, Arkansas, died Saturday, July 8, 2017.

H.L. was born April 30, 1928 in El Dorado, to Henry “Levi” Bailes Sr. and Letha Fitzgerald Bailes. He graduated from El Dorado High School, Class of 1946 and attended classes in accounting at Meadows Draughon Business College in Shreveport, Louisiana.

H.L. was a chemical lab analyst and a profession­al portrait photograph­er, first opening “BAILES STUDIO” in 1947 at age

19. He closed his final studio, “HENRY BAILES PHOTOGRAPH­Y” at age

75. Henry and wife, Ann, a heavy oils color artist, provided South Arkansas with quality, custom photograph­s over a 56-year career.

Henry was preceded in death by his wife of 62 years, Elizabeth Ann Doss Bailes.

He is survived by one brother, Commander Ralph Bailes, USN, retired, a Naval aviator and his wife, Lola of Mountain Home, Arkansas; two sons, Chief Warrant Officer David Bailes, USN, retired and his wife, Reba; a son, Kenneth Bailes; and two daughters, Dr. Barbara Bailes and Suzan Bailes Ferrell and her husband, Kenneth Ferrell, all four children making their home in Rogers; six grandchild­ren; and seven great-grandchild­ren.

The family will have a private memorial service in Rogers.

ALBERT M. BENDER Albert M. “Big Boy” Bender passed away at his home on July 14, 2017. He was born February 26 1947 in Strong, Arkansas to E.M. (Mike) Bender and Avelene Vestal Bender. Big Boy was a United States Army veteran in Vietnam. He served in the Communicat­ions Division and had high security clearance. He attended Strong Schools where he graduated and was a resident of Strong for 70yrs. He worked in the oil business as a roughneck for many years and also worked for the City of Strong as the water Superinten­dent for 27 yrs. He retired in 2003 due to surgery on his legs

He was preceded In death by his parents, a brother Mike Bender, a sister Sandra Bender Beauchamp.

Survivors include his wife of 46 years; Jeanne Duke Bender of Strong, a brother; Alfred “little Boy” Bender of the Woodlands, Texas and numerous nieces and nephews

Visitation will be held from 1-3 p.m. Monday 7-17-17 at Union Chapel Missionary Baptist Church in Strong with services starting at 3 p.m. with Rev. Danny Malone officiatin­g. Honorary pallbearer­s will be Bill Floyd, Karl Brummett, and Ed Langston. Pallbearer­s will be Ronnie Sawyer, Robert Farris, Jimmy Farris, Ted Gathright, Jimmy Crawford, and Steve Black. Burial will be in Strong Cemetery under the direction of Perrys Funeral Chapels.

JAMES M. HOOPES James Morgan Hoopes of 807 Moore Ave. passed away at the age of 23 on July 11, 2016, at the St. Vincent Hospital Infirmary after his long, brave battle with a rare auto-immune disease. He was born March 9, 1994. He is survived by his mother, Elizabeth Jane Martin Hoopes of El Dorado,

Ark; his fiance', Theresa Ann Greer of Lonoke, Ark; his sister, Shelby Ann Hoopes-Tice of Springfiel­d, Or; nieces Rubye Elizabeth Jones, Jade Alexandra Jones, nephew James Alan Hoopes of Springfiel­d Or; his grandmothe­r Addie Jane Martin of Panama City, Fl; numerous aunts, uncles, cousins, and countless friends. He was preceded in death by his father, Walter Alan Hoopes of Panama City, Fl; his grandmothe­r Helen Louise McKenna Hoopes and his grandfathe­r, Col. Rex Morgan Hoopes of Camp Springs, Md; and his grandfathe­r, Paul K. Martin of Lawson, Ark. James loved life, music, fishing, snakes, and most of all his dearest friends. He never met a stranger and was quick with a smile even though he suffered. He was in Stage 5 renal failure but stayed hopeful by looking forward to a kidney transplant and a long life. He is loved and deeply missed, an inspiratio­n to so many people that he met on his road of life. Visitation is at 6:30 p.m. followed by a celebratio­n of his life at 7:30 p.m. Tuesday at Gethsemane Missionary Baptist Church, 2600 Parnell Rd. El Dorado Arkansas 71730. VICTORIA L. LOWERY Victoria Lynn Lowery, 24, of El Dorado passed away July 12, 2017 at St. Vincents Infirmary.

Vickie Lynn was born was October 24, 1992 to Sandra Lynn Sprayberry Lowery and the late Verbie Lee Lowery. She was a 2011 graduate of El Dorado High School and was a third year student of SAU.

Preceding her in death was her father; maternal grandparen­ts, Hosea and Helen Sprayberry; paternal grandparen­ts, Lester and Etyol Lowery.

Her survivors are her mother; sisters Teresa Gail Lowery and Pam Bates of El Dorado; numerous nieces and nephews; her best friends Jordan and Lindsey.

Visitation will be held Monday, July 17, 2017 at 9:00am with funeral service immediatel­y at 10 am at Perry’s Funeral Chapels.

Interment will be at Wyatt Parnell Cemetery under direction of Perry’s Funeral Chapels.
