EDWARD BOONE Edward Boone, 62, of El Dorado, died Thursday, July 20, 2017 at Timberlane Health & Rehabilita­tion.

Arrangemen­ts will be announced by Andrews Funeral Home.

ROBERT FINLEY Services for Robert Finley, 74, will be held at 11:30 a.m. on Saturday at the Blooming Grove Missionary Baptist Church in Farmervill­e, Louisiana, with the Rev. Lester Sims, pastor, officiatin­g.

Interment will follow at the Pleasant Hill Memorial Garden in Spearsvill­e, Louisiana. Visitation will be held from 2 to 6 p.m. today at the Memorial Funeral Home Chapel in Farmervill­e.

CARROLL E. GADBERRY II Graveside services for Carroll E. Gadberry II, with military honors, will be held at 11 a.m. today at the Arkansas State Veterans Cemetery, 1501 W. Maryland Ave., Little Rock, with interment to follow under the direction of Young’s Funeral Directors.

GLINDA CRAIG Glinda Hammons Craig, 62, of Strong, passed away on Sunday, July 16, 2017 at her residence.

She was born on June

19, 1955 in El Dorado, t o Thomas “Tommy” Hammons and the late Betty Hammons.

Glinda was a member of New London Baptist Church. She had many loves in life but there were a few that stood out. She loved to fish, paint, arts and crafts, being outside and her greatest love was spending time with her “babies.”

She was preceded in death by her mother.

Survivors include her husband, Randy Craig; daughter, Jillian Norris Burns (Blake); father, Thomas “Tommy” Hammons; brother, Ray Hammons (Deborah); granddaugh­ters, Isabelle and Meadow Burns; nephew, Thomas Hammons (Kelly); niece, Haven Sibley (Kevin); great-nephew, Mason Hammons; and great-nieces, Kate Hammons and Scarlet Sibley.

Visitation will be held from 10 until 11 a.m. on Saturday, July 22, at New London Baptist Church.

A memorial service will follow visitation at 11 a.m. on Saturday.

LENWOOD FORD Lenwood “Pete” Ford, 86, of El Dorado, died Saturday, July 15, 2017 at Oak Ridge Nursing

Home.

He was born on

April 24, 1931 in El Dorado.

He was the son of Calvin and Fannie Williams Ford. He was a member of Bethlehem Missionary Baptist Church where he sang in the Male Chorus, served on the Layman’s Committee and the Nursing Home Ministry. He served for over 50 years as a deacon and trustee. He was employed as a mechanic with Wheeling Pipeline and later Miller Transport before retirement.

He was preceded in death by his wife, Ruby Freeman Ford; his parents and siblings, Willie Ford, Robert Ford, Susie George, Mary Catherine George, Margaret Wilson, Birdie Lee Ford and Florence Parker.

Survivors are four sons, Lonnie “Bernard” Mitchell, Mickey Mitchell, Rickey Mitchell and Emmanuel Davis; five daughters, Idonia “Peaches” Gardner, Kathy “Cookie” McAlphin, Regatta Morris, Gwendolyn Washington, and Jacquelyn Allen; one brother, Anderson “Red” Ford; 39 grandchild­ren; and a host of great-grandchild­ren.

Funeral will be at 11 a.m. on Saturday, July 22, 2017 at Bethlehem Missionary Baptist Church with the Rev. Lamont Harris and Supt. Rick Matheney officiatin­g.

Burial will follow in Arlington Cemetery under the direction of Andrews Funeral Home.

Viewing will be from 2 to 5 p.m. today and 8 to 9:30 a.m. on Saturday.

REGINALD S. JOHNSON Reginald Sean Johnson was born Oct. 14, 1983 to Louis W. and Rebecca J. Johnson in El Dorado.

He graduated from El Dorado High School in May 2002, where he participat­ed in many sports. He departed this life on July 14, 2017.

He was preceded in death by his maternal grandparen­ts, Louis and Pearl White of Opelousas, Louisiana; paternal grandparen­ts, Mary Lee and Regna Johnson of Stron; and uncles, John Robert White of Opelousas, and Willie Melvin Sr. of Grambling, Louisiana.

He leaves to cherish his memory, his parents, Louis W. and Rebecca J. Johnson; four children, Reginald Johnson Jr., Qualyn Johnson, Reginae Johnson, and Adrionna Moore; six siblings, Daryl W. Johnson (Alberta) of Sierra Leon, Africa, Michael D. Johnson of Houston, Texas, Ta’Nika L. Johnson of Dallas, Texas, Dana Y. Gray (Thomas) of Vine Grove, Kentucky, Christophe­r L. Johnson of Fort Smith, and Constance M. Johnson of Killeen, Texas; one aunt, Lucy Mae Melvin; his longtime girlfriend, Tanzania Moore; and a host of nieces, nephews and cousins.

Public visitation will be from noon until 5:30 p.m. today and family hour will be from 6 until 7 p.m. today at Sims Mortuary.

Funeral will be at 11 a.m. on Saturday, July 22, 2017 at Springhill Baptist Church in Oakland, Louisiana with the Rev. Sherman McKenzie, eulogist. The body will lie in state at the church one hour prior to the service. Sign guestbook online at www.simsmortua­ry.com.
