In the Churches
• Immanuel Baptist Church: The Ladies Only Luncheon will begin with serving at 11:30 a.m. on Tuesday, with the program to follow at 12:10 p.m. in the Family Life Center at the church,
701 S. West Ave., El Dorado. Guest speaker will be Beth Ann Meek and Michelle Midyett will provide special music. Pre-school childcare reservations should be made by noon on Monday by calling the church at 870862-4264. Beth Ann Meek is the wife of the church’s pastor, Jimmy Meek.
• Abundant Life Ministries: A Family and Friends Day will be held at 3 p.m. on Sunday at the church, located at 501 W. Block St., El Dorado. Special guests will be Pastor Anthony and Lady Nicole Yarbrough with the St. Mark Baptist Church family of El Dorado. The public is invited to attend.
• Beulah Grove Baptist Church: The church’s colorama will be held at 2:30 p.m. on Sunday at the church. This year the colors will represent various cancer organizations. Guest speaker will be Sister Brenda Gatewood and Brother Glenn “Suk” Lee. Everyone is invited to attend.
• Bouldware Temple Church of God in Christ: The greater El Dorado District 11 holy convocation will be held at 7 p.m. Wednesday through Friday on at the church, located at 1611 Detroit St., El Dorado. On Wednesday the speaker will be Bishop Joe Baylor Mason. On Thursday, the group will be honoring District Missionary Cynthia Williams. Friday will be official day and special tributes will go to first lady Margie Owens. The special guest for that night will be Superintendent Larry Roach and members of the Greater Harvest Church of God in Christ. Everyone is invited.
• Ebenezer Baptist Church: The church’s 156 homecoming service will be held at 11 a.m. on Aug. 6 at the church, located in the Caledonia Community. Elder Charlie Kimble, a former Ebenezer Church member and the associate pastor of True Gospel Outreach Church of God in Christ in Rodeo, California will be leading the service at 1 p.m. The homecoming feast will be at 2:30 p.m., with Pastor Leon Miller Jr. and members of Little Bethel Baptist Church of El Dorado, as honored guests. Revival services will be at 7 p.m. Aug. 7-11 at the church. Pastor Miller will be bringing the services. All area pastors and churches are welcome to attend.
• Hillsboro Street Church of Christ: The Fitzhughs Men of Monroe, Louisiana, will be the church’s special guests for Sunday morning services at 9 a.m. on July 30 at the church, located at 1322 W. Hillsboro, El Dorado. Stephen Fitzhughs will lead Bible class, Grant Fitzhughs will lead worship and Will Fitzhughs will give a devotional following lunch.
• Hosanna Baptist Church: The church’s homecoming services will be at 2:30 p.m. on Sunday at the church. The guest speaker will be Pastor Robert Harris and Salem Baptist Church and lunch will be served. Revival will be held at 7 p.m. Monday through Wednesday. Services will be provided by Pastor Bobby Miller and Mount Willie Baptist Church on Monday, Pastor Bobby Patterson and New Bethel Baptist Church on Tuesday and Pastor Lacy Miles and First Baptist Church on Wednesday. The public is invited to attend.
• New Jerusalem Christian Ministry: A fellowship service with Apostle Woodrow Parker, Pastor of Greater Second Chance Ministry of Fordyce, will be held at 3 p.m. on Sunday at the church, located at 1400 North Gray Street, El Dorado. The public is invited.
• St. Luke Baptist Church: The 82nd church anniversary will be held at 2:30 p.m. on Sunday at the church, located in Calion. Guest speaker will be the Pastor Charles Henry and members of the congregation of El Bethel Baptist Church of Three Creeks. Lunch will be served at 1 p.m. Everyone is invited.
• Sweet Canaan Missionary Baptist Church: Installation services for the church’s new pastor, Minister W. Wayne Johnson and First Lady Erica Johnson of Camden, will be held at 2:30 p.m. on Sunday at the church, located at 4877 Mount Holly Road, Smackover. Special guests for the service will be Pastor Lyonnell Moore and members of New Mount Hebron Baptist Church of Camden. Everyone is welcome to come.
• Trinity Pentecostal Church of God: A revival with the Rev. Harold Yandell will be held at 6 p.m. today and Sunday at the church, located at 808 S. Murphy St., El Dorado.
