Reminder of Services JACK F. BRANTLEY

Jack Fredrick Brantley, 90, of El Dorado, passed away Aug. 10, 2017 at Cornerston­e Retirement Community in Texarkana, Texas.

Visitation will be held from 4 to 6 p.m. Saturday at Perry’s Funeral Chapels.

Services will be at 1:30 p.m. Sunday, Aug. 13, 2017 at East Faulkner Church of Christ.

Services for Deacon Robert “Burl” Brock, 71, a native of Spearsvill­e, Louisiana, will be held at 11 a.m. on Saturday at the Mount Pisgah Baptist Church in Spearsvill­e, with the Rev. James Douglas, pastor, and the Rev. David Wilson officiatin­g.

Interment will follow at the Sweet Union Church Cemetery in Spearsvill­e.

Visitation will be held from 1 to 4:30 p.m. today at the Memorial Funeral Home Chapel and family hour will be held from 6 to 7 p.m. at the Sweet Union Baptist Church in Spearsvill­e.

MAMIE J. NORMAN

Funeral for Mamie Jane Norman, 93, of Camden, is scheduled for 2:30 p.m. on Saturday Aug. 12, 2017 at Starlight COGIC in Strong, with the Rev. Kenneth Loggins officiatin­g. Interment will be held in Batts Chapel Cemetery in Huttig.

Visitation will be held from 11 a.m. until 5 p.m. today at Reddick Funeral Home in Camden.

Obituaries BRANDON E. HICKS

Brandon Eric Wisinger Hicks (Moe), 40, of Lillie, Louisiana, passed away Aug. 7, 2017.

He was born Oct. 11, 1976 to Donnie Wade Hicks and Cynthia Ann Murry. Moe was a loving father and friend. He loved spending time with his children, which was his passion.

He was a plumber by trade and enjoyed it greatly! He also enjoyed listening to music and playing his guitar. He always talked a “good talk” and was “always on his way”! Taco Bell was his favorite food! Moe had many friends, but some became his family; Shane Calaway, Josh White, Angela Brogdon and many more we are sure.

He was preceded in death by his father; one brother, Calvin Wade Hicks; and two uncles, Dennis Wayne Hicks and Daniel Clois Yates.

Moe leaves behind two children, Evan Lane Hicks and Skyler Riddel; best friend and step-mother, Dolly Hicks; his mother, Cynthia Murry; five siblings, Donny (Doodle) Jeremy Hicks, Nikita Culpepper, and Kayla Hicks and two step-sisters, Annbelle and Mallory Porter; two uncles, Chris Hicks, and Leonard (PeeWee) Hicks; two aunts, Lisa Maroney and Tammy Dunham; two nephews, Addison and Zaden Hicks; one niece, Chloe Stafford; and two first cousins, Megan Hicks and Dennis Wayne Hicks.

A memorial service will be held at 1 p.m. on Saturday, Aug. 12 at Perry’s Funeral Chapels with Bro. J.D. Weido officiatin­g. A brief visitation prior to the services will begin at 12:30 p.m. on Saturday.

CURTIS PARKER

Curtis Parker, 70, of Urbana, died Tuesday, Aug. 8, 2017 at the John R.Williamson Hospice House.

He was born on March 9, 1947 in Urbana, to Ellis T. Parker Sr. and Mayola Gaines Parker. He was a retired employee of Georgia Pacific in Crossett. He was a member of Mount Zion Missionary Baptist Church in Urbana.

Survivors are his wife, Dedra Yvonne Hoof Parker of Urbana; seven sons, Irving Parker and Brandon Parker of Urbana, Corey Parker of North Little Rock, Curtis E. Parker and Bryan Parker of Dallas, Texas, Mark Parker of Oakland, California and Michael Parker of Mountain House, California; one daughter, Kim Aubrey of Urbana; two sisters, Sherry Levingston of Urbana and Mary Ann Owens of Dallas, Texas.

Services will be at 1 p.m. on Saturday, Aug. 12, 2017 at Mount Zion Missionary Baptist Church in Urbana.

Burial will follow in Mount Zion Cemetery in Urbana under the direction of Andrews Funeral Home.

Public viewing will be held from 1 to 5 p.m. today and 8 to 11:30 a.m. on Saturday.
