Smackover plays host to Magnolia in golf

SMACKOVER Smackover hosted Magnolia in golf Monday at Pine Hills.

Connor Harrington shot 77 to lead the Panthers to a win in the boys. The Bucks were led by Cole Hagler.

In girls, Magnolia's Megan Lindsey shot 77. Smackover was led by Lexie Gilbert and Jordan Price, who each shot 95.

Arkansas releases its nonconference hoops

FAYETTEVILLE - The Arkansas Razorbacks announced Monday the completion of their 20172018 nonconference men’ basketball schedule.

The 13-games nonconference slate includes eight games on campus at Walton Arena in Fayetteville, one game, Dec. 16 against Sun Belt Conference Tournament champion Troy, at Verizon Arena in North Little Rock, three neutral court games, though likely not neural if matched against either Portland State or Oregon, in the Phil Knight Tournament, Nov.23-25 in Portland, Ore., an one true road game, Dec. 2 against the Houston Cougars in Houston.

At Walton Arena the Razorbacks host Samford in the Nov. 10 season-opener; Patriot League champion Bucknell on Nov. 12; Fresno State, Nov. 17; Colorado State, Dec. 5, Minnesota, Dec. 9; Oral Roberts, Dec. 19; California State/Bakersfield, Dec. 27 and Oklahoma State, Jan. 27 in the SEC vs. Big 12 Challenge.

In the preseason, Walton Arena tips off three games, the Oct. 20 Red-White intrasquad game and exhibitions against still to be announced against lower division small college teams on Oct. 27 and Nov. 3.
