Curry Chapel African Methodist Episcopal Church: Homecoming services will be held at 3 p.m. on Sept. 3 at the church, located in Strong. The guest minister will be the Rev. Daryell Howell, pastor of St. Peter African Methodist Episcopal Church in McGhee. Revival services will be held at 7 p.m. Sept. 5-7. Guest minister will be the Rev. Charlene Boone, pastor of Greater Ward Chapel African Methodist Episcopal Church in Pine Bluff.

Free Union African Methodist Episcopal Church: The church’s annual Homecoming will be held at 2:30 p.m. on Sunday at the church, located at 3349 Strong Highway, El Dorado. The speaker will be the Rev. George Calloway Jr. of St. James Baptist Church, El Dorado. Revival services will be at 7 p.m. Monday through Wednesday. The evangelist will be Demetrick Andrews, associate pastor of Douglas Chapel Baptist Church in El Dorado.

Greater Powerhouse of Deliverance: The second annual pastor appreciation honoring Bishop Polly Jones will be held at 7 p.m. today and at 4:30 p.m. on Sunday at the church, located at 1131 W. 19th Street, El Dorado Living Word Ministry: A pastoral anniversary for Loretta Willis will be held at 6 p.m. today at the Events Building, located on U.S. 82, Strong. Guest speaker will be Bishop Jeffery Toney.

Morning Star Missionary Baptist Church No. 2: The church’s annual homecoming will be held at 2:30 p.m. on Sunday at the church. Special guest will be the Rev. Daniel Willis and the Union Missionary Baptist Church. Lunch will be served from 1 to 2 p.m. The church will also have revival services at 7 p.m. Monday through Wednesday. The speaker will be the Rev. Ronnie Atkins of St. Mark Missionary Baptist Church of Magnolia.

Mount Zion Baptist Church: Homecoming services will be at 3 p.m. on Sunday at the church in Urbana. The Rev. Eugene Farley and members of New Olive Branch Baptist Church of El Dorado will be the guests. Annual revival services will be at 7:15 p.m. Monday through Thursday, with the Rev. Chester Thompson, pastor of the Zion Hill Baptist Church of Camden, evangelist. Everyone is invited.

New Life Deliverance and Worship Center: The 18th Appreciation for Apostle Lornell Grayson will be held at 3 p.m. Sunday at the church, located at 8388 U.S. 167 South, El Dorado. Special guests will be Apostle Terry Johnson and Fairview Faith and Worship Ministries. Lunch will be served at 1:30 p.m.

St. John Missionary Baptist Church: Homecoming services will be held at 11 a.m. Sunday at the church, 1018 E. Wilson, El Dorado. The Rev. Barry Dobson is pastor of the church. Everyone is invited to attend.

St. Mary’s Episcopal Church: The Daughters of the King will be hosting a Bible study based on Priscilla Shirer’s “The Armor of God” from 11 a.m. to 1 p.m. on Mondays, beginning on Sept. 18, at the church. The deadline to register will be Sept. 1. The workbook costs $13. Willow Grove Missionary Baptist Church: The 136th Church Anniversary will be held at 2:30 p.m. on Sunday at the church, located at 471 Mill St., Calion. Guest speaker will be Pastor Corey Wade of Jerusalem Quinn Baptist Church, El Dorado. Lunch will be served at 1:30 p.m. Everyone is invited.
