Reminder of Services

CELESTINE CLEMONS Services for Celestine Clemons, 63, of El Dorado, will be at 11 a.m. today at Divine Faith Fellowship Baptist Church. Burial will follow in Pilgrims Rest Cemetery in Strong under the direction of Andrews Funeral Home. All public viewing will be after the funeral service.

JERRY L. GEORGE Service for Jerry Lynn George, 57, of Stockton, California, formerly of El Dorado, will be at 2 p.m. today at St. John Missionary Baptist Church in El Dorado with the Rev. Wylie George officiatin­g.

Burial will be at a later date in the Arkansas State Veterans’ Cemetery in North Little Rock under the direction of Andrews Funeral Home. There will be no public viewing at the funeral home.

GLADYS J. JONES Service for Gladys J. Jones, 79, of Magnolia, will be held at 1:30 p.m. today at A.C. Henderson Memorial Chapel of Magnolia with Pastor Aletha Morgan officiatin­g.

Burial will follow in 23 Psalms Cemetery in Magnolia, under the direction of Henderson Funeral Service.

JOHNNY C. MOODY SR. Services for Johnny Carroll Moody Sr., 65, of El Dorado, will be at 2:30 p.m. today at Victory Bible Church in El Dorado with Apostle Robert Green officiatin­g.

Interment will be at Beulah Grove Cemetery under the direction of Sims Mortuary.

LEVI WARD Services for Levi Ward, 89, of Magnolia, will be held at 10 a.m. today at A.C. Henderson Memorial Chapel, Magnolia with Bro. Willie C. Copeland officiatin­g.

Burial will be in New Hope Cemetery, Emerson, under the direction of Henderson Funeral Service.

JAMES C. WILLIAMS Services for James C. Williams, 65, of Calion, will be at 11 a.m. today at Willow Grove Baptist Church in Calion with Pastor Doyle McGhee officiatin­g. Interment will be at Selma Cemetery in Selma under the direction of Sims Mortuary.

Obituaries

ANNIE M. DAVIS Annie Mae Davis, 97, of El Dorado passed away Aug. 30, 2017 at Life Touch Hospice House.

She was born July 16, 1920 to Fannie Mae and Augustus “Gus” McLelland. In 1936 Annie married Elbert “Slim” Moore, three sons followed shortly after. She and her family were faithful members of Hillsboro Church of Christ. Annie worked at Sterling Department Store in the 1950s. She then started her medical career as a nurses aid in Port Sulfur, Louisiana, then Texarkana, Texas, before returning to EL Dorado, where she worked until retiring after 20 plus years. Taking care of others is what Annie loved to do. In 1976, Annie married Darvin Davis. They spent most of their time entertaini­ng and cooking for family and friends.

She was preceded in death by her parents, Fannie Mae Frisby McLelland and Augustus “Gus” McLelland; her husbands, Elbert Moore and Darvin Davis; her son, Jerry Moore; brothers, Leonard and Earl McLelland; sister, Dovie Williamson; and her only grandson, Daniel Moore.

She is survived by her children, Jimmy Moore (Nancy), and Bobby Moore (Cheri); daughterin-law, Ann Moore; grandchild­ren, Tammie Dodson, Donna Bohra, Sharon Renee Morris, Sharon Coleman, Jeanette Worth, Holy Baldridge, Krista Pyle, and Melanie Rothwell; 14 great-grandchild­ren; and 18 great-great-grandchild­ren.

Visitation will be at 1 p.m. Tuesday at Perry’s Funeral Chapels with services beginning at 2 p.m. Interment will follow at Rest Haven Cemetery.

CALEN SUMMERVILL­E Calen Summervill­e, 21, of El Dorado, passed away Thursday, Aug. 31, 2017.

He was born Jan. 29, 1996, in El Dorado. He worked as a millwright for Conifex and was a member of Ebenezer Baptist Church. He loved to hunt, grill, all outdoor sports and anything that involved spending time with his family.

Preceding him in death were his grandparen­ts, Janice Summervill­e, David Howe, and Delorse Howe.

Those left to cherish his memory are his wife, Jessica Summervill­e; two daughters, Brinlie Ferguson, and due to be born this month, Spencer Summervill­e of El Dorado; father, Wade Summervill­e (Cindy) of Junction City; mother, Angel

Howe of El Dorado; sister, Tanner Summervill­e; brothers, Josh, and Aaron; sister, Josey; papaw, Bob Summervill­e; mother-in-law, Teresa Hull of El Dorado; brother-in-law, Jacob Hull (Courtney) of El Dorado; and numerous aunts, uncles, nephews, and nieces.

Visitation was held from 5 to 7 p.m. Friday, September 1, 2017, at Young’s.

Services will be 1:30 p.m. today at Ebenezer Baptist Church with Bro. Steve Pelz officiatin­g. Burial will follow at Mount Pisgah United Methodist Church Cemetery under the direction of Young’s Funeral Directors.

Memorials may be made to the family to set up a trust fund for Spencer.
