NANCY L. MORRIS Nancy Lind Morris, of Camden, went to be with her Lord and Savior on Aug. 19, 2017. She was born in Camden to Harold and Zona Morris on March 11, 1948.

Services will be held at 2 p.m. today at First Presbyteri­an Church in Camden.

BRENDA D. WATERSLUSK Services for Brenda Dianne “Aunt Nonee” Waters-Lusk, 55, of Strong, will be at 10 a.m. today at Church of Love in El Dorado, with Pastor Willie J. Laws Sr., eulogist.

Interment will be at St. Paul Cemetery No. 1 in Marion under the direction of Sims Mortuary.

ABEL L. WILLIAMS Abel Lee Williams, 91, of Magnolia, died Saturday, Sept. 2, 2017.

Services will be held at 1 p.m. today at Hosanna Baptist Church in Village, with the Rev. Jerry Ross officiatin­g. Burial will be in Damascus Cemetery, Village, under the direction of Henderson Funeral Service.

Calling hours will be noon to 4 p.m. today at Henderson’s.

RICHARD A. WOOD Richard Alan Wood, 52, El Dorado, passed away, Friday, Sept. 8, 2017, in Little Rock.

Visitation will be 6-8 p.m. Sunday at Mt. Union Baptist Church.

Services will be 10 a.m. Monday at Mt. Union Baptist Church. Burial will follow at Smyrna Cemetery under the direction of Young’s Funeral Directors.

JIMMY C. BATES Jimmy (JC) Clyde Bates, 82, born in El Dorado and longtime resident of Pearl River, Louisiana, went to his heavenly home Thursday, Aug. 31, 2017.

Survivors include his loving wife of 63 years, Edith El Dain Major Bates of Pearl River, Louisiana; sons, Jay Clyde Bates(Janis) of Picayune, Mississipp­i and Shay David Bates of Pearl River, Louisiana; daughters, Kay Ann Bates of Picayune, Mississipp­i and Tray Lynn Koster(Craig) of Slidell, Louisiana; sisters Mary Harbor of Crossett, Carol Jenkins of Lake Village and Alice Sorrells of El Dorado; brother, Dan Bates of El Dorado. Four wonderful and loving grandchild­ren, Shawna, Jared, Andrew and Brittanie Bates.

For those who knew Dad, the world will be a sadder place, your family loved you so much.

In keeping with the wishes of Dad, there will be no funeral services. Kind thoughts, remembranc­es and prayers are welcome during this difficult time.

RICARDO MORENO Ricardo Moreno was born Feb. 7, 1953 in Nuevo Laredo, Mexico and passed away on Wednesday,

Sept. 6, 2017 at his home in Urbana, Arkansas.

Ricardo was an Anthony Forest Products retiree, having worked at the Urbana Saw mill from 1980 until his retirement in 2015

Ricardo was preceded in death by his mother, Antonia Abasta de Echeverria; step-father, Amado Echeverria and one brother, Francisco Echeverria.

Survivors include: two brothers, five sisters and numerous nieces, nephews and friends.

Visitation with the family will be from 4:30 pm until 5:30 p.m. on Saturday, Sept. 9, 2017 at Bailey Funeral Home.

A funeral mass will follow at 6:30 p.m. at Holy Redeemer Catholic Church with Father Edward D’Almeida officiatin­g. Visitation will continue after conclusion of Funeral Mass until 9 p.m.

Cremation services will follow the funeral services with a burial in Mexico at a later date.

Services are under the direction of Bailey Funeral Home, El Dorado.

KENNETH P. RUSH Kenneth Paul Rush, 70, of Stuttgart was taken by the Lord early morning on Friday, Sept. 9, 2017.

Originally from El Dorado, Kenneth worked in business management throughout Arkansas and Louisiana.

He was preceded in death by his parents, Paul and Maxine Rush; and his wife, Joy Buerkle Rush.

Survivors are his sister, Pamela Rush; an uncle, Lloyd Rush; one nephew; two nieces; and a stepson.

A memorial service will be held at a later date.

Cremation services were handled through Turpin Funeral Home of Stuttgart.

JAMES D. TABOR James (Pat) Donald Tabor, 89, of Smackover, passed away peacefully on Friday,

Sept. 8, 2017 at the

John R. Williamson Hospice House.

He was born April 30, 1928 to George (Pat) Holland Tabor and Pearl Toler Tabor in El Dorado. He realized his love for football while attending Smackover High School where he graduated in 1946. He went to Ouachita Baptist University on a full football scholarshi­p and graduated in 1950 with a degree in business and physical education. He married the love of his life, O’Nolda Tabor, on April 21, 1951 in Macon, Georgia.

He joined the Army and served during the Korean War in Butzbach, Germany, where he received a meritoriou­s service award. He also played football for the Army while in Germany. He continued to serve in the Army reserves and retired as a colonel in 1980.

He worked for Procter and Gamble as a salesman for 28 years and retired in 1983. James was a lifelong member of Maple Avenue Baptist Church where he served as chairman of the deacons for over 20 years. During retirement he enjoyed raising cattle and attending his grandchild­ren and great-grandchild­ren’s sporting events. He was a free spirit with a kind heart and had a great love of animals.

James was preceded in death by his father, George Holland Tabor; mother, Janet Pearl Tabor; son James Dyer Tabor; sister, Helene Tabor House; and brother, George Harold Tabor.

He is survived by his wife of 66 years, O’Nolda Tabor of Smackover, daughters, Jan (Wayne) Peeples of Smackover, Joni (Andy) Louis of Coppell, Texas; grandchild­ren, Heather (Jarrod) Wolfe, Matthew (Jessica) Peeples, Lauren and Drew Louis; great grandchild­ren, Judson and Katherine Wolfe and Zoey Peeples.

A celebratio­n service will be at 2 p.m., Sunday, Sept. 10, 2017 at Maple Avenue Baptist Church with the Rev. Benji McCann and the Rev. Lawrence Harrison officiatin­g. Burial will follow at the Smackover Cemetery under the direction of Young’s Funeral Directors.

Memorials may be made to Maple Avenue Baptist Church Building Fund at 1306 Maple Avenue, Smackover, AR 71762.
