BOB MADDOX Bob Maddox, 80, of El Dorado, passed away on Sept. 10, 2017 at his residency.

LEROY M. ROWLAND Leroy M. Rowland, 52, of Junction City passed away at his home on Sept. 11, 2017 .

Cremation services were entrusted to Perry’s Funeral Chapels.

JAMES DICKERSON Services for James D. “JD” Dickerson, 67, of El Dorado, will be at 11 a.m. today at First St. James Baptist Church with the Rev. Roy C. Aaron, eulogist. Interment will be at Mount Sinai Freewill Cemetery in El Dorado, under the direction of Sims Mortuary.

NANCY L. MORRIS Nancy Lind Morris, of Camden, went to be with her Lord and Savior on Aug. 19, 2017.

She was born in Camden to Harold and Zona Morris on March 11, 1948.

Funeral will be held at 2 p.m. Saturday, Sept. 23, 2017 at First Presbyteri­an Church in Camden.

FRANCES WHARTON Frances Wharton, 93, of El Dorado, died Monday, Sept. 11, 2017 in El Dorado.

Visitation will be held from 5-7 p.m. today at First Baptist Church’s 2fifty2 building.

Services will be held at 2 p.m., Wednesday, Sept. 13, at the First Baptist Church, with the Rev. Jonathan Kelley and Brian Trostle officiatin­g.

MISSIE O. COCHRAN Missie Olene Cochran was born Feb. 7, 1936 in Tennessee to George

Odle and Ester Shanns.

She passed away Friday, Sept. 8,

2017 in Baptist Health Medical Center of Little Rock, at the age of 81 years, seven months and one day.

Our loving and wonderful mother, Olene Cochran, passed from this world into Glory with Jesus. She is now with our wonderful creator and those who preceded her in death.

She was preceded in death besides her Mother and Father; by her husband, W.M. (Dub) Cochran; her brothers Buster, J.C. Junior, Roy, Hobert and Charlie; and two sisters, Lois and Carolyn.

Left to cherish her memories are her son, Rick (Candi) Cochran and daughter, Sharon Underwood and (Scott Nichols) of El Dorado; five grandchild­ren, Nick Underwood (Trisha), Eric Cochran, Michelle Cochran, Nikkie Mullins, and Christophe­r Mayberry (Portia); six great-grandchild­ren; and a host of family and friends.

She lived in Portagevil­le, Missouri and was an active member of First Assembly of God until she retired and moved to be with her children in El Dorado. There she became a member of First Assembly of God in El Dorado. She enjoyed crafting, spending time with family and loving her two little dogs, Spanky and Goldie. She will be greatly missed, but forever in our hearts until we reunite one day in Glory.

Services will be held at First Assembly of God under the direction of DeLisle Funeral Home in Portagevil­le, with Bro. Eugene Poole as speaking pastor.

Family will welcome all those for visitation from 10 a.m. until noon today, at First Assembly of God with services to follow immediatel­y afterwards. She will be laid to rest at Portagevil­le Cemetery.

ROSA M. LANGLEY Rosa Muriel Langley, 85 of Smackover, died Sept. 11, 2017 at Life Touch Hospice House in El Dorado.

Born on Nov. 9, 1931 in Calion, she was the daughter of Charlie Willie Amason and Susie Iuela McGowan Amason.

In her younger years she enjoyed cooking and sewing for her family and friends. She loved playing the piano and was a talented painter. She was very protective of her boys and loved them with all her heart. She was a member of Calvary Baptist Church, worked as an Avon representa­tive and was a homemaker.

Preceding her in death were her parents; her husband, Gordon Langley; a son, Albert Mark Langley; a grandson, Jeffery Keith Langley; and two sisters, Jean Walden and Bert Denham.

Survivors include her sons, Keith (Vonnie) Langley of Friendship, and Clark (Glenda) Langley of Smackover; three brothers, Randall Amason, Murray Amason, and Noel (Tonya) Amason; six grandchild­ren, Amber (Brandon) Miller, Tim (Candis) Langley, Wesley Langley, Stewart (Toni) Norrris, Lamont Norris, and Lavonda (Mike) Burroughs; 11 great-grandchild­ren, Kaylee Graham, Mark Miller, Austin Miller, Grace Langley, Coa Langley, Allison (Tommy) Atkisson, Trent Burroughs, Hailee Norris, Tucker Norris, Addison Norris, and Randilynn Norris.

Funeral will be at 2 p.m. Wednesday, Sept. 13, 2017 at Young’s Chapel with Chad Jackson officiatin­g. Burial will follow at Bethel Cemetery under the direction of Young’s Funeral Directors. Visitation will be held from 1 until 2 p.m. at the funeral home.

GEORGE D. PUCKETT George Dennis Puckett, 88, of Springdale, formerly of El Dorado, died on Friday,

Sept. 8,

2017 at Circle of Life Hospice i n Springdale.

Born on Sept. 17, 1928 in Rison, he was the son of John Gilbert Puckett and Elsie Lorene May Puckett. Dennis served in the Army. He was employed by Lion Oil and was the former city clerk for El Dorado. Dennis was a member of Immanuel Baptist Church.

Dennis was preceded in death by his parents, his sisters, Mary Evelyn Moore Coburn, and Frances Annetta Nichols; and a brother, John Gilbert Puckett Jr.

Survivors are his wife of 65 years, Nancy Geraldine Puckett; son, Lamar Puckett; daughter, Lynda (Melvin) Cline, and son, Larry (Terri) Puckett all of Springdale; grandchild­ren, John (Krystal) Swint, Leslie (Ryan) Peterson, Micah (Kelsey) Puckett, Betsy Puckett, Aaron (Maggie) Cline, Robin (Jimmy) Hines and Lisa (David) Koon; and great-grandchild­ren, Haylee Swint, Kylee Swint, Caleb Hines, Daniel Hines, and Sam Koon.

The family received friends from 6 until 8 p.m. Monday at Young’s Funeral Directors.

Funeral will be at 10 a.m. today at Young’s Funeral Home Chapel with the Rev. Micah Puckett officiatin­g.

Interment will follow at Arlington Memorial Park.

Donald Allen Younts Sr., 73, of El Dorado, passed away Sunday, Sept. 10, 2017 at the

John R. Williamson Hospice House.

Donald was a United States Army

Veteran and was a member of Westside Baptist Church and the Lions Club Municipal Golf Course.

Preceding him in death were his parents, F.R. Younts Sr. and Roselee Lyons Younts; a daughter, Rebecca Anne Younts; a son-in-law, Jeffery Scott Morgan; and a brother, F.R. Younts Jr.

Survivors include his wife of 54 years, Wanda Lynch Younts of El Dorado; his daughter, Nancy Morgan of El Dorado; his son, Donald A Younts Jr. (Christy) of Smackover; two sisters, Janice Liles (Jim) and Beth Wood (Bob); three sisters-inlaw, Janis Younts, Lou Williams, and Sandi Webb (Tommy); a brother-in-law, Ron Lynch; his

grandchild­ren, Rebecca Burns (Bobby), Katherine McCorvey (Jake), Jessica Lee Younts, Brianne Cookson, Eric Longinotti, Bailey Younts and Andrew Longinotti; great-grandchild­ren, Adalyn Kate McCorvey and Jacob, Raven and Clayton Cookson; and numerous nieces and nephews.

A memorial service will be held at 2 p.m.

Wednesday, Sept. 13, 2017 at Westside Baptist Church with the Rev. Cody Lain officiatin­g and under the direction of Young’s Funeral Directors.

Visitation will be held from 6 until 8 p.m. today at Westside Baptist Church.
