FRANCES E. WHARTON Frances Elizabeth Wharton, 93, died Sept. 11, 2017.

Her parents were Judge M. F. “Dobbin” and Elizabeth Woods Taylor. Born and raised in Hamburg, she was always known as Frances Elizabeth, and developed life long loves of family, church, tennis, piano and all intellectual pursuits.

She completed bachelor and master degrees at Ouachita, Baylor, and South Arkansas universities. Upon retiring, she spent countless hours over decades with the Literacy Council and Interfaith Help Services. She loved her friends and her birthday club. Through it all, she loved First Baptist Church El Dorado, where she worked in the youth Sunday School department for 65 years, retiring last December.
