Aimee Powell and Simeon Norman wedding
Aimee F. Powell and Simeon L. Norman were married Saturday, Sept. 16, 2017 at
4 p.m. at the First Baptist Church of El Dorado. The Lord’s Prayer was sung by Ashley Barnes. The Rev. Billy Artis officiated the ceremony.
The bride is the daughter of Reece and Margaret Powell of El Dorado. The groom is the son of Willie and Carolyn Norman of Urbana.
The bride was escorted by her father. She was elegant in her strapless fit-and-flare silhouette gown fashioned of ivory beading with a white train and two-tiered flowing cathedral length veil. She carried a bouquet of blush and pink roses cascading with greenery.
Demecia Dawkins served as maid of honor. She wore a rose chiffon A-line gown with a rose bodice, V-neckline, capsleeves and belted waist with rose lace detail.
The bridesmaids were Daria Floyd, Tiffany Henry, Whitney Waller, Jennie Dismue, Brittany Fulton Curttina Clark and Traci Harris. They wore chiffon over cashmere lining A-line gowns, with jewel necklines and rose lace details and belted waist.
Junior bridesmaid and niece of the groom, Kyra Strokes, wore a rose chiffon A-line, strapless sweetheart gown with a removable rose lace jacket.
Flower girls were the lovely Katie Barnes and Elise Ford, who wore sleeveless ribbon satin and lace Chantilly Place ballerina tea length dresses.
The handsome groom wore a custom-made tuxedo with ivory jacket, black vest and trousers, bow tie and boutonniere of blush and rose.
The best men were Marcus Hegler and Derek Easter.
Groomsmen were Greg Williams, Sean Moore, Jerry Gillispe, Michael Wilson, Andrew McDaniel and Jeremy Owens. Ringbearer was Darion Harris.
All wore custom-made navy blue tuxedos and bow ties designed by Fred Washington, owner of Mirror Me in Conway.
Jalen Norman, Kenneth Stokes
Jr. and Johnathan Snowden served as ushers.
Crystal Miles attended the guest book.
Dinner and dancing was held at the El Dorado Conference Center.
The couple will reside in Beaumont, Texas.
