ISAAC SCOTT Isaac Scott, 44, of El Dorado, passed away in Mayflower on Oct. 2, 2017.

KATHRYN GRIFFIN Graveside services for Kathryn “Kappy” Sayle Griffin, 90, of Friendswoo­d, Texas and formerly of El Dorado, will be held at 2 p.m. today at Woodlawn Cemetery with the Rev. Keith Dodson officiatin­g under the direction of Young’s Funeral Directors.

WILLIE TERRY JR. Services for Willie Terry Jr., 72, will be held at 11 a.m. Saturday, Oct. 7, 2017 at the New Mount Union Baptist Church in Junction City with the Rev. Doug March officiatin­g. Interment will follow at the Little Hope Cemetery in Spearsvill­e, Louisiana.

Visitation will be held from 2 to 6 p.m. Friday at the Memorial Funeral Home Chapel in Farmervill­e, Louisiana.

BETTYE F. DELK Bettye Faye Little Delk, 83, went to be with the Lord, surrounded by her loving family on Oct. 1, 2017 at her home in Knoxville, Tennessee.

She was born Nov. 30, 1933 in Huttig, to Clyde Leon and Delma Faye Little. She graduated from Crossett High School in Crossett in 1951. Following graduation she attended nursing school and graduated as a registered nurse in 1954 from Warner Brown School of Nursing in El Dorado. That same year in 1954, Bettye married her devoted husband, Donald R. Delk, and they recently celebrated their 63rd wedding anniversar­y on Sept. 18, 2017. Bettye and Donald lived nearly all of their married life together in El Dorado, where they raised their three children and were active members of Gethsemane Baptist Church.

Bettye was preceded in death by her parents; sister, Mary Clydell Ables; niece, Vicki Lynn Able; and son-in-law, Bryan R. Womack.

She is survived by her loving husband, Donald; daughter, Melissa Cain (Walt) of Addis, Louisiana; son, Jeff Delk of Nashville, Tennessee; and daughter, Lori Zepeda (Manuel) of Knoxville, Tennessee. She has five grandchild­ren, Jonathan Womack of Amberg, Germany, Jennifer Womack of Baton Rouge, Louisiana, Jackson Slaid of Baton Rouge, Louisiana, Ashley Zepeda of Knoxville, Tennessee and Amanda Zepeda of Knoxville, Tennessee; and niece, Anne Ables Haskell of Salem, Oregon.

A memorial service will be held at Gethsemane Baptist Church at 2 p.m. on Thursday, Oct. 5, followed with burial at Rest Haven Memorial Cemetery.

Pallbearer­s will be Manuel Zepeda, Jackson Slaid, Bill Hanna, Hubert Owens, Jimmy Ricks, and Eddie Childers.

CONWAY H. SAWYERS Conway Hale Sawyers went to be with his Lord o n Friday, Sept.

29 , 2017, surrounded by his loving family.

A celebratio­n of Conway’s life will be held at Laurel Land Chapel of Chimes at 10 a.m. Thursday.

Conway was the Arkansas Baptist State Missions director for 10 years and previously was associatio­nal director for 17 years. He received a bachelor’s degree from Baylor University and a master’s degree from Southern Baptist Theologica­l Seminary. His favorite hobby was making sawdust.

He is survived by his wife of 66 years, Marceille of Burleson; daughter, Kathy Weatherly and husband, Bill; son, Larry Sawyers; two sisters, Willene Austin, and Vera Breeding; two grandchild­ren; three nieces and two nephewst.
