Adult vaccinations to be provided October 20
The University of Arkansas for Medical Sciences Schmieding Caregiver Training Program and Walgreens are working together to provide adult vaccinations from 9 until 11 a.m. Oct. 20 at the South Arkansas Center on Aging Education Center, 106 W. Main St., Suite 310, El Dorado.
Adult vaccinations will be administered for flu and pneumonia and a booster vaccine for tetanus, diphtheria and whooping cough will be given, too. Educational information on the importance of vaccinations will be distributed to patients, according to a news release from the South Arkansas Center on Aging.
Anyone interested in receiving a vaccination at the event should bring their insurance card for billing. Adult patients without insurance will only be able to receive the flu vaccination. Free parking will be available and refreshments will be provided by Timberlane Health and Rehab.
