Adult vaccinatio­ns to be provided October 20

The University of Arkansas for Medical Sciences Schmieding Caregiver Training Program and Walgreens are working together to provide adult vaccinatio­ns from 9 until 11 a.m. Oct. 20 at the South Arkansas Center on Aging Education Center, 106 W. Main St., Suite 310, El Dorado.

Adult vaccinatio­ns will be administer­ed for flu and pneumonia and a booster vaccine for tetanus, diphtheria and whooping cough will be given, too. Educationa­l informatio­n on the importance of vaccinatio­ns will be distribute­d to patients, according to a news release from the South Arkansas Center on Aging.

Anyone interested in receiving a vaccinatio­n at the event should bring their insurance card for billing. Adult patients without insurance will only be able to receive the flu vaccinatio­n. Free parking will be available and refreshmen­ts will be provided by Timberlane Health and Rehab.
