Tara Diveley and Derick Watts announce engagement

Ricky and Melody Watts of Junction City are proud to announce the engagement of their son Derick Allen Watts to Tara Lynn Diveley.

The bride-to-be is the daughter of Mark Diveley of Unionville, Missouri, and Diana Reed of Kirksville, Missouri. She attended Putnam Courtney R-1 High School in Unionville where she graduated in 2002. She graduated in 2006 from Stephens College with a bachelor’s degree in fashion design product developmen­t and digital filmmaking. She is a former post production employee of 20th Century Fox Television, Sony Pictures Entertainm­ent and the Stephens College MFA-screenwrit­ing program.

The prospectiv­e groom graduated in 2005 from Junction City High School. He attended Williams Baptist College in 2009 with a bachelor of science in finance. He works as a chemist at Clean Harbors.

The couple will be married at 6 p.m. Oct. 28 at the First Baptist Church in Junction City with Ricky Watts, the groom’s father, officiatin­g.

A reception with finger foods and cake will be held at “A Beautiful Mess” in Junction City following the ceremony.

The groom’s family will be hosting the rehearsal dinner on Oct. 27 at the First Baptist Church.

After the wedding, they will honeymoon with a weeklong cruise before coming home to El Dorado.
