Bethlehem Missionary Baptist Church: The annual prayer breakfast will be at 9 a.m. on Nov. 4 at the church, located at 331 Hillsboro Road, Strong. Guest speaker will be Jennifer Hamilton, who is a member of The Church of Love, El Dorado. Services will also include a morning brunch. The theme is Prayer Power in Action. Scripture for the event comes from Acts 16:25, “And at midnight Paul and Silas prayed, and sang praises unto God; and the prisoners heard them.” Everyone is invited.

College Avenue Church of Christ: The Rev. Phillip Thompson will be preaching at the church on Sunday. The Harding University Concert Choir will be performing at 10 a.m. on Nov. 5 at the church, located at 1817 N. College Ave., with potluck to follow. The 97-member Concert Choir was organized in the Fall of 1988 and has a long tradition of great trips, close friendship­s and musical excellence. Members are chosen by audition each Fall. The majority of members major in areas other than music; approximat­ely 30 majors within the university are represente­d. The group maintains an active schedule singing on campus, touring regionally and singing with the Harding University Orchestra. In the last few years, the group has sung for Harding’s presidenti­al inaugurati­on as a part of the combined 250-voice choir and performed for President George Bush and former Secretary of State Condoleezz­a Rice.

Divine Faith Fellowship: A family day fellowship service will be held at 2:30 p.m. Sunday at the church, located at 1218 E. Hillsboro St., El Dorado. The guest speaker will be Nita Johnson, pastor of United Covenant Ministry in Smackover. Everyone is invited.

Ebenezer Baptist Church: The church will have their Annual Fall Festival from 6 to 8 p.m. Sunday at the church, located at 1942 N. Wyatt Drive, El Dorado. Food, games and activities for all ages will be held. Come for a great time of fun, food and fellowship.

Faith in the Word Christian Center: A prayer breakfast will be held at 9 a.m. today at the church, located at 1310 Detroit St., El Dorado. First Lady Monica Artis from Mount Zion Baptist Church in Urbana will bring the message. Everyone is invited to attend.

First Apostolic Church: The church will have an “Operation Donations for Disaster Victims” tent drive from 10 a.m. to 2 p.m. today at the church, located at 215 American Road. Items needed include bottled water, cleaning supplies, buckets, canned food, shoes of all sixes, baby supplies, toiletries, person hygiene products and toys. Money donations will also be accepted.

Galilee Baptist Church: Church members will host a 57th Sunday Night Singing at 6 p.m. on Sunday at 117 Galilee Road in El Dorado. There will be solos, congregati­onal singing, and there will be a time for fellowship afterwards.

Hillsboro Church of Christ: The Rev. Philip Thompson will be teaching a Sunday school class at 9 a.m. and preaching at 10 a.m. Sunday at the church.

Morning Star Missionary Baptist Church No. 2: A harvest day will be held at 2:30 p.m. Sunday at the church. The special guest will be the Rev. Michael Wilson and Whitest Chapel Missionary Baptist Church of Camden. Lunch will be served from 1 to 2 p.m.

New Jerusalem Christian Ministry: A Fall Revival will be held Sunday-Tuesday at the church, located at 1400 North Gray St., El Dorado. Guest speakers are: the Rev. Kenneth Lowery, Sunday; the Rev. Jessie Frazier, Monday and the Rev. James Manning, Tuesday and all associate ministers of St. James M.B.C. and Bishop George Calloway Jr., their pastor. Guest ministers of music will be Faith in the Word Christian Center, Pastor Erma Jackson on Sunday; Fairview C.O.G.I.C., Apostle Terry Johnson on Monday and St. James M.B.C., Bishop George Calloway Jr. on Tuesday. The public is invited to attend. Refreshmen­ts will be served after each service.

Triumph the Church and Kingdom of God in Christ: The church will have a state conference featuring the school of wisdom, evangelist department, music and youth department­s Nov. 10 to 12 at the church, located at 821 Union Street, El Dorado. The conference will convene at 7 p.m. on Nov. 10. Guest speakers for the evangelism session on Nov. 11 will be Evangelist Delphine Thompson of Longview, Texas, and Minister Earlene Burns beginning at 6 p.m. School worship will begin at 10 a.m. on Nov. 12 with guest speaker Pastor Clarence Samuel of New Orleans. The theme is taken from Isaiah 60:1 which reads, “Arise, shine; for thy light is come, and the glory of the Lord is risen upon thee.” The public is invited to attend.

Curry Chapel Church: A prayer breakfast conference that was scheduled for today has been canceled, according to Mary Lovett.
