CONNIE DOWNS Connie Downs, 67, of Norphlet, passed away Wednesday, Nov. 15, 2017.

LORRAINE HINSON Lorraine “Sue” Hinson, 76, died on Nov. 6, 2017 in West Monroe, Louisiana.

Funeral was held Monday, Nov. 13, under the direction of Mitchell Memorial Funeral Service of Crossett.

RUTHIE MONTGOMERY Ruthie Montgomery, 88, of Riverside, California, passed away Tuesday, Nov. 14, 2017 in El Dorado.

Arrangemen­ts will be announced by Steward Pearce Mortuary in Long Beach, California.

Lillie Faye Pylant, 67, of Strong, died Nov. 4, 2017 at her residence.

Funeral was held Saturday, Nov. 11, under the direction of Mitchell Memorial Funeral Service of Crossett.

EARLINE C. HENDERSON Funeral for Earline C. Henderson, 91, of Emerson, will be held at 11 a.m. on Saturday, Nov. 18, 2017 at Columbia Baptist District Center, Youngblood Auditorium, Magnolia, with the Rev. Donald Crawford, pastor of Sweet Home Missionary Baptist Church, officiatin­g.

Burial will follow in Pine Hill Cemetery, Emerson, under the direction of Henderson Funeral Service. There will be a family reception/repast at the Sweet Home Fellowship Hall following the interment service.

Visitation will be from noon until 4 p.m. Friday, Nov. 17, at Henderson’s Mortuary, Magnolia.

Funeral was held Monday, Nov. 13, 2017 at the Shiloh Baptist Church in Strong.

Burial followed in the Pilgram Rest in Strong,under the direction of Mitchell Memorial Funeral Service of Crossett, AR.

ALAN JOHNSON Memorial services for Alan “Peanut” Johnson, 61, of Spearsvill­e, Louisiana will be held at 10 a.m., Saturday, Nov. 18, 2017 at Farrar Funeral Home Chapel with Bro. Marty Black officiatin­g, under the direction of Farrar Funeral Home in Farmervill­e, Louisiana.

Mr. Johnson went to his heavenly home on Nov. 14, 2017. Alan was a member of Mineral Springs Baptist Church in Dubach, Louisiana. He loved the outdoors and fishing. He was a loving Father, Brother, Uncle and Friend.

Mr. Johnson was preceded in death by his parents, Floyd Johnson and Beverly Foster; and one sister, Debbie Langley.

Left to cherish his memory is one son, Jason Johnson of Baytown, Texas; two sisters, Cathy Barnes and her husband, Bill, and Sandy Silmon and her husband, Mark, all of Spearsvill­e; one brother, Jeff Johnson and his wife, Karen Sue, of Spearsvill­e; step-father, Ronald Foster of Spearsvill; special mentor, Ted Nichols; two grandchild­ren; and a host of nieces, nephews, other relatives and many friends.

Visitation will be from 9 a.m. until time of service Saturday.

The family would like to extend a very special thank you to Life Touch Hospice in El Dorado, and to all of the many friends and family for your prayers and acts of kindness.

ROBERT P. THOMPSON Robert Patrick “Bob” Thompson, 59, of Howe, Oklahoma, passed away Sunday, Nov. 12, 2017 at his home.

Robert was born May 4, 1958 in Pittsburgh, Pennsylvan­ia, to Frederick and Mary Joanne (Campbell) Thompson.

Survivors include his wife, Terre Lee of the home; daughters, Page Lee Cosgrove and Jade Nichole Cosgrove; sons, Daniel Nicholas

Wayne Cosgrove, and Chad Hershel Cosgrove; grandchild­ren, Nicholas

Aaron Rocha, Paisley

Breann Simpson, Chesnie Leann Southerlan­d, Jacelynn Rachelle Jiminez, Callie Lane Cosgrove, Robert Joseph Rocha, Easton Kade Cosgrove, Kinlee Nichole Wooten, Emma Claire Ramsey, Taylee Ann Wooten, Jasper Knox Wooten, and Aydan Wooten; mother, Mary Joanne Thompson; brothers, Frederick Michael Thompson and wife, Jennifer, Mark Edward Thompson and wife, Lucy; niece, Leslie Nicole Thompson Caldwell, husband Cameron and son, Lane; nephews, Michael Devlin, Clayton Alexander, Robert Parker and Zachary Joseph Thompson; other relatives, loved ones and friends.

Services will be 11 a.m., Friday, Nov. 17, 2017 at Solid Rock Church in Panama, Oklahoma, with the Rev. Johnny Painter officiatin­g. Interment will follow in Glendale Cemetery, Wister, Oklahoma.

The family will be at Evans & Miller Funeral Home in Poteau, Oklahoma, from 6 until 8 p.m. today to visit with relatives and friends.

CHARLOTTE WATSON Charlotte Watson, 71, of Smackover, went home to be with her Lord and Savior on Tuesday, Nov. 14, 2017, at the John R. Williamson Hospice House.

Charlotte was retired from Southweste­rn Bell.

She began her career in the business office in El Dorado. She changed positions in the mid 70’s and became the first female installer/ repairman in South Arkansas. Charlotte married the love of her life in 1978. They enjoyed traveling all over the United States to attend trapping convention­s. They were named Mr. and Mrs. Trapper by the Arkansas Trapper’s Associatio­n. Charlotte loved her family and was most happy surrounded by her children and grandchild­ren.

She was preceded in death by her parents, Lester and Elizabeth Wilson; and her husband of 38 years, Willard Watson.

Survivors include her two children, Kristi Rose (Steve), and Jeffrey A. Williams (Missy); six grandchild­ren, Leta Johnson (Kurt), Jeffrey Hedges, Taylor Williams (Kaylynn), Kelly Thompson (Paul), Courtney Williams, and Wilson Williams; six great-grandchild­ren; and her brother, David Wilson (Deborah).

Visitation will be held from 5 until 7 p.m. today at Young’s.

Funeral will be at 10 a.m. Friday, Nov. 17, 2017, at Silver Hill United Methodist Church with the Rev. Bubba Smith officiatin­g.

Burial will follow at Silver Hill Cemetery under the direction of Young’s Funeral Directors.
