Clay Callaway and Laura Allen will be the guest speakers when the Rotary Club meets at noon Monday at St. Mary’s Episcopal Church.

Callaway is the director of the South Arkansas Arts Center’s holiday musical production, “Rudolph’s Reindeer Wrangler Revue.” Callaway, a native of El Dorado, has had an

illustriou­s career in the entertaini­ng business for over 30 years, having produced, directed and starred in more than 20 musicals.

He has recently lived in Hilo, Hawaii, where he directed many variety shows at the famous Palace Theater. Callaway is a veteran of the SAAC stage, where he directed production­s in the past, including “South Pacific,” “A Funny Thing Happened on the Way to the Forum” and his first foray into directing, “Guys and Dolls,” some 28 years ago.

Producer of the holiday revue, Allen joined the SAAC team as executive director in August. A 2001 graduate of Hendrix College with a degree in English, she worked for statewide monthly magazine At Home in Arkansas from 2000 to 2009, beginning as

an editorial intern and becoming editor in 2003. Under her leadership, the publicatio­n won a prestigiou­s Bronze Award for General Excellence from

the City and Regional Magazine Associatio­n in 2004.

She began working with The Diamond Agency after moving

to El Dorado in 2009, launching Cloud 9, the in-flight magazine of SeaPort Airlines in 2012 and El Dorado Insider’s Guide in 2013.
