MOLLY A. BRANTLEY

Funeral for Molly Ann Garlington Brantley, 39, of Inman, South Carolina, formerly of Junction City, will be held at 2 p.m. today at Bethel Baptist Church of Lillie, Louisiana, with the Rev. Ken Reeves and the Rev. Sam Whitlow officiatin­g. Interment will be in the Bethel Cemetery under the direction of Bailey Funeral Home of Junction City.

ANTHONY D. BURCH Funeral for Anthony D. Burch, 35, will be held at 11 a.m. Saturday, Dec. 2, 2017 at the Mount Union Baptist Church in Marion, Louisiana, the Rev. Willie D. Simmons, pastor. Interment will follow at the Concord Cemetery in Marion. Visitation will be held from 2 until 6 p.m. Friday Dec. 1, at the Memorial Funeral Home Chapel in Farmervill­e, Louisiana.

JULIA A. SMITH Funeral for Julia Ann Smith, 60, will be held at 11 a.m. Friday, Dec. 1, 2017 at the St. John Baptist Church in Lillie, Louisiana. Interment will follow at the St. John Church Cemetery. Visitation will be held from 2 until 5:30 p.m. Thursday, Nov. 30, at the Memorial Funeral Home Chapel in Farmervill­e, Louisiana.

MOLLY SPEIGHTS Services for Molly “Fran” Speights, 82, of El Dorado, will be held at 10 a.m. today at Perry’s Funeral Chapels, followed by interment at Rest Haven Memorial Park Cemetery.

BILLY D. ARCHER

Billy Don Archer, 73, passed away Sunday, Nov. 26, 2017, at Baptist Health-Little Rock.

He was born July 1, 1944, in Manila, Arkansas to James Manuel and Christine Smith Archer. Billy graduated salutatori­an of his class from Palestine, Arkansas. After graduation he entered the Army and trained in teletype. In 1966 he then went to work for Southweste­rn Bell Telephone. He met and married the love of his life, Dolly Kimble, in 1967. In 1970 they moved to Hot Springs where their daughter, Jena, was born. He served as union president of Communicat­ion Workers of America-Local 6503 for a time. Billy took an early retirement at the age of 53 from Southweste­rn Bell. After retirement he went to work for the National Park Service in Hot Springs. In 2015 Billy and Dolly moved to Stuttgart to be closer to family. Billy enjoyed spending time at the deer cabin near White Oak State Park. He enjoyed spending time on Lake Hamilton. His granddaugh­ters were the light of his life. He was their biggest fan; whether dancing, playing softball, or basketball. Billy was baptized at Piney Baptist Church in Hot Springs.

Besides his parents, he was preceded in death by his wife, Dolly; and brothers, Bob and Jerry.

Survivors are his daughter, Jena Stratton and husband Mark of Stuttgart; brothers, Eugene Archer (Kathy) of Paragould, and Kenneth Archer of Shirley; sisters, Lilly Harris (Bill) of Ozark, Cindy Gillmore (Delmas) of Sulphur Rock, and Nancy Scott of Jasper, Alabama; and two granddaugh­ters, Abby and Emily.

JAMES N. WENGER James Noah Wenger, 32, of Pearcy, Arkansas, passed away on Monday, Nov. 20, 2017.

Noah was born on Feb. 21, 1985 in El Dorado. You could find Noah hunting deep in the woods, enjoying nature, sinking crickets at a favorite fishing hole or calling the pitches of a baseball game with a cold Dr. Pepper in his hand. He was a loving father, brother and son whose larger than life smile was shadowed only by the size of his heart.

He was preceded in death by his father, Marcus L. Wenger.

Noah is survived by his wife, Laura Wenger, and their son, James Noah Wenger Jr. of Pearcy; his daughters, Madyson and Makenzie Wenger of Hot Springs; his parents, Debbie Spencer Elliott and Mike Elliott of Louisiana and Stephen A. Murphy of El Dorado; his siblings, Ryan Murphy (Alexis) of El Dorado, and Kayla Murphy of Louisiana; his stepbrothe­rs, Josh Elliott and Jeremy Elliott; his stepsister, Michelle Murrell (Jeff); and his grandparen­ts, Bill and Elizabeth Spencer of El Dorado and Jane A. Spencer of El Dorado. He also leaves a host of nieces, nephews, relatives and friends.

A memorial service for Noah will be held at 2 p.m. on Dec. 2, 2017 at West Side Baptist Church in El Dorado.
