Funeral will be held at 11 a.m. Satur­day, Dec. 9, 2017 at Philip­pian C.O.G.I.C. in Hut­tig. Burial will be at Hut­tig Ceme­tery under the di­rec­tion of Par­adise Funeral Home of Ber­nice, Louisiana.

In­ter­ment will fol­low at the Zion Hill Bap­tist Church Ceme­tery in Farmerville.

JERRY W. THOMAS Visi­ta­tion for Jerry Wayne Thomas, 73, of Mon­roe, Louisiana, for­merly of Junc­tion City, will be­gin at 9 a.m. to­day at Beech Grove Methodist Church near Spearsville, Louisiana. Grave­side ser­vices will fol­low at 10 a.m. at Beech Grove Ceme­tery with Bro. Johnny Atkins of­fi­ci­at­ing and under the di­rec­tion of Bai­ley Funeral Home of Junc­tion City.


HARRY L. DUMAS Harry Lynn Dumas, 70, of El Do­rado, died on Dec. 2, 2017.

He was born June 28, 1947. He was pre­ceded in death by his par­ents, Harry Lee and Marie Dumas; and his step-fa­ther, O.R. “Hamp” Hamp­ton.

Lynn served his coun­try in the United States Air Force sta­tioned at Barks­dale AFB in Shreve­port, Louisiana, the Is­land of Crete, Greece as Morse sys­tems op­er­a­tor and ra­dio op­er­a­tor with top se­cu­rity clear­ance; Keesler AFB in Biloxi, Mis­sis­sippi and served in the Drum & Bu­gle Corps; and Kelly AFB in San An­to­nio, Texas. He re­turned to

Union County to work for over

30 years for the Arkansas Depart­ment of

Hu­man Ser­vices.

He is sur­vived by Mary

Frances Ris­ter

Dumas, his wife of 45 years; his son, Stacy Ris­ter Dumas and wife Ash­ley Pruitt and their chil­dren, Greyson Pruitt, Grier Estelle and Gretchen Bai­ley of Con­way; his daugh­ter, Lyn­d­sey Marie Dumas of Lit­tle Rock; his brother, Jack Wil­liam Dumas of Wy­oming, son Jeremy Lee Dumas and his wife and child Megean Paige and Hai­ley Sa­man­tha of Val­dosta, Ge­or­gia, and daugh­ter Jenifer Ann McClel­land of Mis­sis­sippi. He is also sur­vived by sis­ter- and brother-in-law, Linda Ris­ter and Larry David Gad­dis, their daugh­ter Emily Ris­ter Gad­dis Ko­curek, MD, her hus­band Jared Don and their child Ju­dah David of Lit­tle Rock; sis­ter- and broth­erin-law, Kathryn Ris­ter and Wil­liam Arnold Alspaugh, and their chil­dren Kara Ris­ter, Evan Wil­liam, and Trey Wil­son of Con­way.

Lynn was blessed with many life­long friends in­clud­ing Ge­orge Lee Fen­nell and Vir­ginia Meador.

Com­mit­tal ser­vices will be held at 1 p.m., De­cem­ber 7, 2017 at Arkansas State Veteran’s Ceme­tery, 1501 W. Mary­land Ave., North Lit­tle Rock.
