Smackover picks up road win

LAKE VILLAGE Smackover brought home a key road win from Lake Village on Tuesday by topping the Beavers 60-53 in 3A-4A District 12 play.

K.J. King scored 16 points to lead the Buckaroos.

Bryce Lockhart and Damarous White chipped in with 13 points apiece while Peyton Jones scored 12.

Malachi Armour led Lake Village with 21 points.

Smackover won the junior boys game 50-47.

T.J. Modica led the Bucks with 15 points.

D’kylan Hildreth added 12 and Brandon Lockhart scored 10.

WARREN 75, JUNCTION CITY 59

WARREN - Jalen Davis and Jerrodney Tubbs had 11 points apiece for the Dragons, who fell on the road in 3A-4A District 12 play.

The Dragons trailed 16-11 after the opening period before the Lumberjack­s extended their lead to 36-28 at intermissi­on and 47-35 after three periods.

Hishmma Taylor had seven points and Charles Hoof added six points for the Dragons.

In the junior boys game, the Dragons beat the Lumberjack­s 42-39.

Ryan Allen had 13 points, while Tate Barnett and Tanner Barnett had eight points apiece.

On Monday, Junction City picked up a road win by topping Hamburg 65-46 in 3A-4A District 12 play.

After the game was tied at 12-all after the opening period, the Dragons trailed 27-25 at intermissi­on.

However, the third quarter would be a different story, as the Dragons took a 42-31 lead before winning by the final margin.

Taylor had 14 points to lead a balanced scoring attack.

Terrell Gibson and Davis had 11 points apiece and Hoof added 10 points for the Dragons.

Junction City's junior boys also came up with a win, topping Hamburg 53-44.

COLUMBIA CHRISTIAN 69, WEST SIDE CHRISTIAN 66, 2 OT

John Wylie drilled a 3-pointer to force the second extra session, but it wasn't enough, as the Warriors (13-6, 4-2) fell in AACS South play.

Stephfan Tabe had 26 points and Zachary Scriber chipped in with 15 points for the Warriors.

In the junior boys game, West Side Christian topped Columbia Christian 45-28.

Garrett Williamson paced the Warriors (11-3) with 14 points.

Zackley Pearson had nine points and Anderson Colley added eight points for the Warriors.
