Sybil Wilson Sulephen, 80, of El Dorado, formerly of Monticello, passed away Tuesday, Jan. 16, 2018 at AR Hospice St. Vincent’s in Little Rock.

Obituaries DON CODY
Don Cody, 88, of Calion, passed away Tuesday, Dec. 19, 2017. He was born May 8, 1929 to Gilbert C. Cody, Sr. and Anna Dolores Shank Cody in Willows, Oklahoma.
He was a Veteran of the United States Navy, serving in the Korean War, a graduate of Oklahoma State University, and was a fan of the Oklahoma Sooners and the Dallas Cowboys. Don started his career as a sales representative and then became a District Manager for Allstate Insurance Company, and owner of his Allstate Agency. He enjoyed golf, fishing, computer games, crossword puzzles, and traveling. He had a great sense of humor and was a kind and generous man.
Preceding him in death are his parents; brother, Gilbert Cody, Jr.; and two sisters, Louise Witworth and Delores Huddleston.
Survivors include his wife, Anne Cody of Calion; sister, Virginia Austin of Denver, Colorado; eight nephews and nieces, David, Alan, Bill, Ann, Robert, Jennifer, Terry, Mike; two, step-children, Catherine and Michael; and two step-grandchildren, William and Rachel.
Memorial services will be held at 2 p.m. Saturday, Jan. 20, 2018 at Young’s Chapel with the Rev. Keith Dodson officiating. A Celebration of Life Reception will follow from 3 until 6 p.m. at the El Dorado Country Club.
In lieu of flowers memorials may be made to the Salvation Army, 419 S. Madison, El Dorado, AR 71730, or the charity of donor’s choice.

MELBA F. STEWART
Melba Fairris Stewart, 87, of Strong, went to be with the Lord on Monday, Jan. 15, 2018 at Oak Ridge Nursing Home in El Dorado.
Melba was born at her home in Strong, on Sept.
5, 1930, the daughter of
John Henry and Addie Laura
Farris. She was a member of United Methodist Church of Strong.
Preceding her in death are her parents; sister,
Lovie Sue Robertson of El
Dorado; brother, James H. Fairris of Strong; late husbands, Morgan Frisby and George W. Stewart; one grandaughter and two step-grandsons.
Those left to cherish her memories is her son, Larry G. Frisby (Diane) of Lake Village; step-son, Tommy Stewart (Evelyn) of El Dorado; step-daughters, Faye Frisby (Larry D.) And Kaye Overstreet (Jack) of El Dorado; brothers, Sam Fairris (Peggy), Dan Fairris, Jerry Fairris (Janet) and Morgan Fairris; sister Linda K. King (Donnie); two grandchildren, eight step-grandchildren, four great grandchildren, numerous step-great grandchildren and many nieces and nephews.
Melba was a “Sassy” and “Classy” lady. She was great at keeping people entertained whether it was hosting in her home or just socializing about town. She loved life and family as well as the staff and residents of the Oak Ridge Nursing Home where she lived for the last five years. There she loved playing Bingo and won Ms. Midnight Stroll in one of Oak Ridge Beauty Pageants. You did not arrive or leave her home without being offered a coke, including at Oak Ridge. Her favorite holiday; Christmas, and of course let us not forget her favorite drink was a glass bottled Coca-Cola. She will be greatly missed but she will always be remembered.
Visitations will be held from 10 until 12 p.m. on Friday, Jan. 19, 2018 at Perry’s Funeral Chapels.
Graveside service will be held 2 p.m. on Friday, Jan. 19, 2018 at Strong Cemetery.
In lieu of flowers, donations may be made to Strong Cemetery.
The family would like to thank all the staff at Oak Ridge Nursing Home as well as Hospice of El Dorado for all their care and service to our beloved and to us.
