Dr. Donald Harper Barrow, Sr. passed away on the morning of Sunday, Feb. 4, 2018 at the age of 83.

A memorial service will be held at 2 p.m. on Thursday, Feb. 8, 2018 at St. Mary’s Episcopal Church under the direction of Young’s Funeral Directors with Father Charles Chapman officiatin­g.

The families ask that memorials be sent to St. Mary’s Episcopal Church of El Dorado.

Obituaries ELIZABETH AGEE

Elizabeth Agee, 85, died on Jan. 30, 2018. She was born Feb. 5, 1932 to John Berry and Julia Hodges Berry. Mrs. Agee was a longtime member of the First Baptist Church in Camden. In addition to her parents, she was preceded in death by her husband, Jerrel “Jack” Agee; two brothers, Wallace Berry and Joseph Berry and two sisters, Nadine Williams and Frances Gilmore.

Mrs. Agee is survived by two brothers, James Berry and his wife, Betty and John Berry and his wife, Udell; a sister, Lois Williams; a son, Jerrel Agee; three daughters, Julia Rairdon, Linda Hood and Mary Walker; six grandchild­ren, Michael Peveto, Christine Bell, Jenifer Whitmire, Amy Lopez, Brett Walker and David Walker and eight great-grandchild­ren, Evangeline Peveto, Ryan Bell, Victoria Bell, Elaine Bell, Joseph Bell, Timothy Whitmire, Grace Whitmire and Elena Perez.

Proctor Funeral Home is in charge of the arrangemen­ts. The family will receive friends from 6 until 8 p.m. on Friday at the funeral home. Services will be held at 10 a.m. on Saturday at First Baptist Church in Camden with Casey Hough officiatin­g followed by interment at Smackover Cemetery. SALLY K. AYRES

Sally Kay Ayres died Jan. 29, 2018 at Oak Ridge Nursing Home. Sally, and identical twin Susan, daughters of George and Madge Wentzell, were born Jan. 9, 1937 in Bay City, Michigan. Her parents, son Ray Ayres and daughter Alisa McCoy preceded her in death. She is survived by her husband Jim, son Gary Ayres of Chipley, Florida, daughter Connie Martin of Washburn Missouri, daughter Debra Johnson of Gulfport, Mississipp­i and sister Susan Wilburn of Ashville, North Carolina.

Sally received a B.S. in nursing from Florida State University. The latter 25 years of her nursing career were spent at Oak Ridge Nursing Home. Sally found this to be a very rewarding profession­al experience, which she often described as some of the best years of her life. She, and the staff, had a mutual affection.

Sally was a competent profession­al. Also, she was devoted to her many interests, which included her love of plants and animals. Sally felt privileged to be an active member of the Silver Kickers. She was baptized as one of Jehovah’s Witnesses on May 22, 1976.

In Summation: Sally Kay Ayres was a healer, teacher, artist and cultivator.

The Ayres, and Wilburn, families wish to thank the Oak Ridge Nursing Home staff for all their love and kindness. The families wish to thank the local Spanish congregati­on of Jehovah’s Witnesses for their brotherly love.

The memorial for Sally Kay Ayres is scheduled for Tuesday, Feb. 6, 2018 at 2 p.m. at the local Kingdom Hall of Jehovah’s Witnesses. The address is 1335 Strong Highway, El Dorado, Arkansas.

VERNA D. BATES

Verna Diann Bates, 70, of Mount Holly, passed away, Sunday, Feb. 4, 2018, at the John R. Williamson Hospice House. She was born June 23, 1947, to W.D. and Ernestine Dedman Broach in Ramsey.

She was Certified Nurses Aid with Union County Home Health an d was a member of the Mounty Holly Community Church. Diann enjoyed fishing, but most of all she loved spending time with her family.

Preceding her in death are her parents; husband, Bobby Joe Bates; and sister, Dana Elaine Broach Smith.

Survivors include her son, Joe T. Bates (Lyn) of Mount Holly; daughter, Melissa D. English (Carolyn) of Hooks, Texas; sisters, Dee Broach Bethea, Delby Jo Broach Schlafman (Ralph); brother, Don Broach (Gladys); grandsons, Richard Cross, Justin Raines; granddaugh­ters, Lacy Bates, Lindy Bates; and six great grandchild­ren.

The family will receive friends from 5 until 9 p.m. Tuesday, Feb. 6, 2018 at Young’s Funeral Directors.

KIMBERLY D. BRAY

Kimberly (Sunshine) D. Bray, age 45, died Dec. 25, 2017; a lifelong citizen of El Dorado who recently moved to North Little Rock in 2014. She was the daughter of Philemur A. Bray-Malone and the late Willie H. Bray.

A memorial service and celebratio­n of her life will be held at 1 p.m. on Saturday, Feb. 10, 2018 at Zion Watch Baptist Church in El Dorado. She was laid to rest in the Haven Rest Cemetery under the directions of McNeal-Coleman Funeral Home, of Brinkley.

PEGGY L. LOWERY

Peggy Lynette Lowery, 82 of El Dorado died on Saturday, Feb. 3, 2018 at her daughters’ home.

Born on March 18, 1935 in El Dorado, she was the daughter of Cyrus Faulkner and Stella Fugett Faulkner. A homemaker, Peggy was of the Baptist faith. Peggy was a loving mother and wife.

Peggy was preceded in death by her parents, four sisters, five brothers and a grandson Jason Scott Lowery and her husband of 50 years Wallace Lowery.

Survivors are a daughter Debra Hudson (Timothy) and a son Kenny Ray Lowery all of El Dorado; a granddaugh­ter Stacy Duke (Tim) of Olla, Louisiana; along with great-grandchild­ren Cain Duke, Breanne Lowery, Jade Lowery and Elizabeth Lowery; her brothers Jimmy Faulkner ( Johnette ) of Homer, Louisiana, Ralph Faulkner (Susan) of Hot Springs and Buddy Faulkner of Haynesvill­e, Louisiana.

The family will receive friends Tuesday evening from 6 until 8 p.m. at Young’s.

Funeral will be at 2 p.m. on Wednesday, Feb. 7, 2018 in the chapel of Young’s Funeral Directors with the Rev. Chester Passmore officiatin­g. Interment will follow at Arlington Memorial Park.

PATSY WISNER

Patsy Bulloch Wisner, age 79, of Monticello, passed away Sunday, Feb. 4, 2018 at Drew Memorial Hospital in Monticello. She was born

Dec. 1, 1938 in Collins, to the late Wert Bulloch and Hazel Whitehead Bulloch.

She was the widow of Jackson Wisner, a homemaker and a member of Pauline Missionary Baptist Church.

Survivors include two daughters, Teresa Wisner Garrett and husband Phil of Lampasas, Texas and Clarissa Wisner and husband Don Sutton of Rolla, Missouri; five granddaugh­ters, Kandi Woessner (Matt), Kassi Anderson

(Devin), Alyson Morrow (Jess), Stephanie Garrett and Olivia Vierrether; two grandsons, Samuel Sutton and Caleb Sutton; seven great-grandchild­ren; two brothers, Don Bulloch of Collins and Tracy Bulloch of Crossett.

Funeral will be held at 11 a.m. on Tuesday, Feb. 6, 2018 at Stephenson-Dearman Chapel with burial to follow in Rash Cemetery. Visitation will be from 10 until 11 a.m., one hour prior to service time. Online guestbook at www. stephenson­dearman.com.
