Funeral for James Bernard Furlow, 59, will be held at 2:30 p.m. today at the Marion Baptist Church in Marion with the Rev. Ronnie Traylor, pastor. Interment will follow at the Countyline Baptist Church Cemetery in Spearsvill­e. There will be no visitation.

Betty H. Kimball, 85, of Georgetown, Texas, died Thursday, Feb. 22, 2018, at her residence.

Visitation will be 5 to 7 p.m. Saturdayat Immanuel Baptist Church.

Funeral services will be 10 a.m. Monday at the church. Burial will follow at Three Creeks Baptist Church Cemetery under the direction of Young’s Funeral Directors.

Funeral for Mary Jo Menser, 68, of El Dorado will be held at 2:30 p.m. on Saturday, Feb. 24, 2018 at New Olive Branch Baptist Church with the Rev. Anthony Traylor officiatin­g.

Burial will follow in Rehobeth Cemetery under the direction of Andrews Funeral Home. Public viewing will be from 1 until 5 p.m. on Friday and from 8 a.m. until 1 p.m. on Saturday at Andrews.

Bro. Arguster James, Sr., 85, of El Dorado passed on Tuesday, Feb. 20, 2018. He was born Oct. 4, 1932 to John James and Estella George James in the Mt. Sinai Community in Summerfiel­d, Louisiana.

He was a member of First Baptist Church, Cordell and the oldest active member of the

El Dorado Lodge of No. 151 M.W.

Prince Hall Grand Lodge F. & A.M of Arkansas.

He was preceded in death by his parents, nine siblings and two sons,

James.

Survivors are his wife; Sis. Beatrice

James; sons, Arguster James Jr., Little

Rock, Jeffery James and Alfonzo

James, El Dorado, and Jerry Dorton of Sacramento, California; daughters, Glenda R. James, Little Rock, Wanda Faye James and Sandra (Keith) Holden of El Dorado; brother, Joseph C. James, SR, Shreveport, Louisiana, and sister, Laylus Radford, Springhill, Louisiana; 16 grandchild­ren; 26 great- grandchild­ren, and one great-great grandchild.

Public visitation will be on Friday, Feb. 23, 2018 from noon until 4:30 p.m. with the family hour from 6 until 7 p.m. at Sims Mortuary. Funeral services will be Saturday, Feb. 24, 2018 at 2:30 p.m. at First Baptist Church Cordell with the Rev. Pierce Moore, eulogist. BEATRICE MOORE

Beatrice Moore, 81, of Junction City died Friday, Feb. 16, 2018 at MCSA. She was born on June 10, 1936 in the Upland Community. She was the daughter of Clarence Rodgers and Minnie Dangerfiel­d Rodgers. She was a graduate of Rosenwald High School in Junction City. She was a member of St. Mark Baptist Church in the Upland Community. She recently retired as a housekeepe­r with Oak Ridge Nursing Home.

She was preceded in death by her parents and her husband, Paul D. Moore; grandson, Phillip Jerriel Moore.

Survivors are; four sons, Victor Moore and Eric Moore of El Dorado, Ronald Moore of Junction City and Herbert Moore of Tucson, Arizona; one brother, Jerry Brown of El Centro, California; ten grandchild­ren and 17 great grandchild­ren.

Funeral service will be at 11 a.m. on Saturday, Feb. 24, 2018 at New Mt. Union Baptist Church in Junction City with the Rev. Robert Smith officiatin­g. Burial will follow in St. Mark Cemetery in the Upland Community under the direction of Andrews Funeral Home. Public viewing will be from 2 until 5 p.m. on Friday and from 8 until 9:30 a.m. on Saturday at Andrews.

LEONA REYNOLDS

Leona Reynolds passed on Feb. 15, 2018 at Oak Ridge Nursing Home. She was born Sept. 23, 1931 to Clayborn Sockwell and Mary Lizzie Thorns Williams in Rosston.

She is preceded in death by her parents, 11 siblings, two granddaugh­ters, and two grandsons.

Survivors are four sons: Johnny

(Lillian) Thompson of El Dorado, Robert

(Jackie) Hampton of Smackover, Timothy Threadgill of Prescott, and

Willie Polk of Grady; three daughters, Maolla Mitchell, Annette Wilson and Shelia Beard of El Dorado; four brothers, Charles (Linda) Williams and Eugene Williams of California, Clayborn (Phylis) Sockwell, Enree Sockwell of Rockford, Illinois; five sisters, Eva Mae Haynie of Colorado Springs, Colorado, Ollie B, (Doug) Hubbard, Stella (James) Marshell, Dorthy Jean Duckett of Rockford, Illinois, Cora Tidwell, Lorene Hopson of Prescott, and Jeredine Michael of Long Beach, California; nine grandchild­ren, twenty-three great-grandchild­ren, and twenty-six greatgreat grandchild­ren.
