St. Paul African Methodist Episcopal Church: The Church will be celebratin­g it's 142 anniversar­y at 3 p.m. on March 18, at the church, 5731 Moro Bay Hwy, El Dorado. The theme for the event will be “A Church Built On A Solid Foundation In Jesus Christ” and scripture taken from Matthew 16:18. Guest speaker will be the Rev. Billy Artis, pastor of Mount Zion from Urbana. Lunch will be served. The public is invited to attend. Liberty Methodist Church: Will be holding revival services at 7 p.m. each evening Monday to Wednesday. The Rev. Steve Davis of the Mount Holly Community Church will conduct the services. Refreshmen­ts will be served in the Fellowship Hall after the service on Wednesday. Everyone is welcomed and encouraged to attend. New Providence Baptist Church: New Providence Baptist Church of Norphlet, will celebrate the church's pastor and wife’s 16th appreciati­on service at 3 p.m. on tomorrow at the church. Pastor Marshall Allen and The Eastern Star Baptist Church of Gurdon will be their special guest. Everyone is encouraged to come. Davion Shutes. Shady Grove Baptist Church: The annual men’s day program to be held at 2:30 p.m. tomorrow at the church, 1207 N. Highland, El Dorado. The theme for the event will be “Wise Men: Proverbs 1-5 A closely controlled and careful life in one with high moral standards. A life in which one does what is right, just and fair.” Guest speaker will be Pastor James George and guest church,

Mount Zion Baptist Church from Spearsvill­e, Louisiana. Lunch will be served at 1:15 p.m. Moro Bay Baptist Church: The second Saturday night singing will be at 6 p.m. today at the church. The Saline River Band will be the featured singers. A potluck meal will be served at 5 p.m. Everyone is invited to attend.

Free Union African Methodist Episcopal

Church: An annual women’s and men’s day presenting “Fruits of the Spirits” to be held at 6 p.m. today, at the church, 3349 Strong Highway, El Dorado. Various speakers will be representi­ng each of the fruits of the spirit, summary by Apostle Phillip Gordon and Pastor at Devine Destiny Internatio­nal in Camden. “But the fruit of the Spirit is love, joy, peace, longsuffer­ing, gentleness, goodness, faith, Meekness, temperance: against such there is no law.” Galatians 5:22-23. Women and men are asked to represent with $20. Fellowship after service. First Baptist Church of Cordell: The chuch will be celebratin­g the 11th pastoral appreciati­on day for their pastor and wife, Dr. and Mrs. Pierce Moore, to be held at 3 p.m. tomorrow, at the church. Dr. Lewis A. Shepherd, Jr. and the Greater Pleasant Hill Baptist Church will be the special guest. We’re looking forward to seeing you there. Lunch will be served. Magnolia East District: A women’s revival to be held at 7 p.m. each night on March 15 and March 16 at the church, 1400 Trinity Street, El Dorado. Thursday night we will hear from local women in the district. Friday night we will hear from guest District Missionary, Cynthia Shutes-Williams from the Greater El Dorado District. Will be hosted by District Missionary, Stephanie Owens and Superinten­dent, Herman Hayes.
