Wildcats cruise past Camden Fairview

CAMDEN - Thanks to an offense that has generated 25 runs over the last two days, El Dorado remains undefeated.

Jacob Boshears went 3-for-4 with four RBIs, while Derek Jobe drove in two runs as part of a 3-for-5 day at the plate, as El Dorado knocked off Camden Fairview 14-4 on Friday.

Daniel Johnson went 2-for-4 with a double and an RBI for the Wildcats (7-0).

Adam Simmons struck out five and walked three over five innings of work to pick up the win. He allowed four hits, and didn't surrender an earned run.

Garrett Jeans pitched the final two innings, racking up six strikeouts while not allowing a hit with two walks.

A day earlier, the Wildcats got two big hits in their 11-3 win over Magnolia.

Noah Gaul, who was 2-for-5, had a three-run double in the fourth for the Wildcats.

An inning later, Leighton Turbeville followed suit with a three-run double of his own to help break the game open.

Evan Chandler also had a multi-hit game, finishing 2-for-4 with an RBI.

Jobe was dominant on the mound, racking up 10 strikeouts while issuing just one walk in five innings of work. He allowed three hits and one run.

Johnson worked 1 1/3 innings in relief, picking up two strikeouts.

The Wildcats will look for their eighth straight win on Tuesday when they travel to Lake Hamilton.
