Crossett shuts down Smackover's bats
CROSSETT - After a good start, Smackover seems to be mired in a funk.
On Monday, the Bucks lost their fourth straight, falling at Crossett 10-0.
The Bucks were held to just two hits with Cody Smith and Cade Schibler registering singles in the first and fifth innings respectively.
Poor defense hurt the Bucks, as the visitors committed eight errors behind starting pitcher Tucker Evans.
Evans went 4 1/3 innings with only two of the nine runs scored against him being earned. He allowed 11 hits, walked four and struck out five.
Baylor Brumley allowed one unearned run without retiring a batter in the fifth. He allowed two hits.
Smackover (3-5) will look to snap their skid today at Star City.
