Logoly State Park announces annual Easter celebration
McNEIL — Logoly State Park will host their Annual Easter Celebration at 2 p.m. March 31 in the day use area. Admission is free.
The Easter Egg Hunt will begin at 2:30 p.m. 4 to 12-year-olds can participate in the egg hunt. The children will be divided into three age groups for the Egg Hunt. Only children will be allowed inside the egg hunting areas. Adults will be allowed to give children instructions and encouragement but adults will not be allowed inside the egg hunting area.
With more than 1,200 eggs containing candy, prizes or prize slips this is the ultimate egg hunt. Children are asked to bring baskets or bags to collect eggs and goodies.
Crafts and activities, which include making paper flowers and decorating Easter eggs, will be available in the Picnic Area from 2-4 p.m.
Logoly State Park is located six miles north of Magnolia on Columbia County Road 47 off Hwy 79. For additional information on the Easter Celebration or other park programs, contact the park office at 870-695-3561.
UA students recognized for Fall 2017 academic achievements
FAYETTEVILLE — Several University of Arkansas students graduated at the end of the fall 2017 semester, earned recognition on the Chancellor’s list and their college’s Dean’s list.
Graduates include Blake Ham, Bijhon Jackson and Patrick Seweje of El Dorado.
Murphy Aycock of Smackover; Anna Dear, Gabrielle Gauthier, Robert Roberson, Suzanna Haygood and Alexandra Johnson of El Dorado are named to the Chancellor’s list.
Annabelle Rogers, Ashley Nielsen, Nathan Smith, Andrew Thornton, Cian Douglas, Adri Kooms, Keyanna Smith and Jada Miller of El Dorado are named to the Dean’s List of their respective college.
Raymond Hickey of El Dorado was named to the Law School Dean’s.
