Golf and basketball events to be held

The L.C. & Hazel Ross Scholarship Foundation will be hosting a pair of events on Friday, March 30.

The first event will be a two-man scramble golf tournament at the Lions Club, beginning at 9 a.m.

The entry fee is a donation per team. Lunch will be provided to all participants.

In the evening, the annual WHS/EHS Alumni Basketball Event will take place at Wildcat Arena.

The games begin at 6 p.m. with the South Arkansas Hoyas taking on the El Dorado AllStars.

At 7 p.m., the Flawless Ballers square off with the Young School Lady Cats.

The final game of the evening tips at 8 p.m. with the Old Timers Game with the WHS Alumni Hornets facing the WHS/ EHS Alumni Hoopers.

All basketball participants are asked to make a team donation toward the scholarship cause.

Any and all WHS & EHS alumni during the L.C. Ross era are invited to participate in this years event (must be 40 or over to participate).
