• Kenneth L. Waller Jr., 42, of 1202 N. College, was arrested March 22 in connection to a theft that was reported at a residence in the 600 block of West Fifth. A man told police March 19 that someone stole a red, 1996 Chevy S10 pickup truck; a gray, 1999 Toyota Camry; a riding lawn mower; window unit air conditione­r; and BBQ grill from the carport of the residence. Waller was taken into custody warrants for parole violation and theft of property- motor vehicle.

• Frederic D. Wright, 46, 2315 Oxford, was arrested March 21 for second-degree domestic battery. While on routine patrol, police said they were flagged down a woman on North Washington, who was yelling, “Please get this man off my son and off my property.” Police said they saw a man, later identified as Wright, kneeling over a younger male who was on the ground. The woman said Wright, her ex-husband, came to her residence and asked to talk. The woman said she told Wright she wasn’t going to talk to him and advised him to leave. She said Wright kicked her vehicle, and when she confronted him, he retrieved what was later determined to be a steel pipe from the back of his truck and struck her in the head with it. She said their teenage son then grabbed Wright, and the pair tussled, with their son knocking the pipe from Wright’s hand. Police said the teen provided a similar account of the incident. Wright told officers that his ex-wife and son “jumped him” after his ex-wife warned Wright not to kick her car. He said his son retrieved the pipe from his truck and attempted strike Wright with the pipe, but he missed and struck his mother instead. Police said the back of the woman’s head was swollen, and they noted the pipe had a coupling fastened to it with two bolts.

• Sharon K. Brown, 49, of 2220 Nevada, wad arrested March 20 for aggravated assault. Brown was accused of retrieving a knife during an argument with her grandchild­ren’s mother, and a woman who was with the children’s mother used a chemical spray on Brown. Brown’s son told officers that he and his mother had dropped off his children with their mother in the 300 block of Hudson, and his children’s mother and the other woman followed them to MSCA. Brown said an argument ensued, and his mother retrieved a knife from his car. Other witnesses reported seeing Brown with the knife. The mother of Brown’s grandchild­ren — who was pregnant, according to a police report — told officers that the woman who was with her used the chemical spray when Brown retrieved the knife. Brown’s son said his mother hid the knife underneath the passenger seat of his vehicle and went into the ER for treatment. Police said they recovered the knife and spoke with Brown, who corroborat­ed the witnesses’ account of the incident. Officers said she did not mention the knife initially, but once they told her they had seized the knife, she admitted retrieving the knife during the argument and placing it underneath the passenger seat after being “pepper-sprayed.”

• Marcus L. Mullen, 42, of 1328 W. First, Apt. 33, was arrested March 19 on a Fresno County (California) Sheriff’s Office warrant for inflict corporal injury on a spouse/co-habitant, false imprisonme­nt with violence, and threaten crime with intent to terrorize.

• Shastaty A. Lum, 35,of 2451 Pershing Hwy., was arrested March 19 on a Smackover Police Department warrant for residentia­l burglary and theft of property. Lum also faces charges of possession of methamphet­amine and possession of drug parapherna­lia.

• A 16-year-old boy was arrested on March 19 for terroristi­c threatenin­g, first-degree and disorderly conduct. Police said they went to a residence in the 700 block of Liberty to serve an arrest warrant for

William C. Shaw, 38, of Graves Court. Shaw was arrested for theft of property in connection to a theft that was reported March 12 in the 2400 block of North Jefferson. After taking Shaw into custody, police said the boy opened the front door of the Liberty Street residence and began yelling at them. Police said the boy did not comply with commands to exit the residence and sit on the porch. He continued shouting, using profanity, and he slammed the door. Police said they entered the residence and the boy continued to walk away from them. The boy was taken into custody after a brief struggle, and he directed several terroristi­c threats toward officers, according to a police report.

City Reports

• A man reported March 24 that someone broke into his residence in the 1300 block of West First and stole a video game system and electronic benefit transfer card.

• A woman told police on March 24 that someone broke into her rental property in the 800 block of East Ninth and stole an air conditioni­ng unit. She said a relative reported seeing a man run from an upstairs apartment on the evening of March 22 and head through a neighbor’s yard before jumping over a fence. It appeared as if someone had been “squatting” in the apartment, according to the witness’s statement.

• A woman told police March 23 that someone fraudulent­ly used her identity to open an account with AT&T. The woman said there was a delinquent balance of $466.18, and she learned of the fraud when she was contacted by a collection agency. She identified a possible suspect.

• A woman told police on March 22 that a tenant who lives in her rental property used counterfei­t bills to pay his rent. The woman said she learned the bills were fraudulent when she tried to use two of three, $100 bills the man had remitted. She said she was shopping in a department store on West Monroe, Louisiana, and she was detained by the store manager and city police. Police said they learned the suspect also has an active warrant for his arrest from the Arkansas Parole Board.

• On March 20, police received a report from the 13th Judicial Prosecutin­g Attorney’s office that a woman fraudulent­ly used a relative’s name during a recent appearance in 35th Judicial District Court for a traffic citation.

• A woman told police on March 21 that someone keyed her vehicle at her residence in the 1600 block of Short East Hillsboro. Police said the vehicle had several scratches, including obscene words, on the driver and passenger’s sides and the rear, and there were three small dents in the hood. The complainan­t identified a possible suspect.

• The owner of M&M Package, 3311 N. West Ave., told police on March 21 that a man cashed a fraudulent check in the amount of $1,243.91 at the business. A possible suspect has been identified, according to a police report.

• A man reported on March 21 that his estranged wife made an unauthoriz­ed withdrawal of approximat­ely $955 from his bank account. He said an employee of Smackover State Bank told him that the suspect made the withdrawal on March 19 in the drive-through. The complainan­t also said a man who was impersonat­ing him spoke with bank employees by phone and approved the withdrawal.

• A man told police on March 20 that someone broke into his storage unit at Dixie Storage, 1101 Memory Lane, and stole a duffle bag containing a desktop computer, three DVD players and a cable modem.

• On March 20, a woman reported the theft of her vehicle, a 2004, gray Ford Explorer, from her residence in the 1400 block of North Martin Luther King Boulevard. The woman said the SUV was inoperable and both taillights were busted and covered with gray tape.

• A man told officers on March 19 that someone forged his signature on a personal check that was written in the amount of $150.
