El Dorado, Smackover Softball teams compete Tuesday.

HOT SPRINGS - Allyson Silmon and Larran Simmons each went 4-for-5, as El Dorado rolled to an 18-3 win over Hot Springs Lakeside in 5A-6A District 6 play Tuesday.

Silmon drove in five runs, while Simmons had four RBIs in the win for EHS (9-9, 2-2).

El Dorado had three players finish with three hits in the contest.

Grace Hargett went 3-for-5 with two RBIs and a triple, while Ava Dunn was 3-for-5 with three RBIs and Sydney Sprawls finished 3-for-5 with two RBIs.

Grace Murry was on base five times in the win.

Hargett went the distance to collect the win in the circle, finishing with a four-hitter. She walked three and struck out six.

SMACKOVER SWEEPS

MONTICELLO - Makayla Burroughs drove in the game-winning run with a walk-off double Tuesday as Smackover beat McGehee 7-6 in the opening game of a doublehead­er.

The Lady Bucks cruised to a 15-0 win over Drew Central in the second game.

In the opener, Smackover rallied from a 5-1 deficit. The comeback was keyed by clutch, two-out hitting.

With the score knotted at 6-6, Brooklyn Dees reached on a two-out single in the bottom of the seventh. Dees stole second and scored on Burrough’s double.

Abby Crawford was the winning pitcher, allowing nine hits and a walk with seven strikeouts.

McGehee recorded six hits in the fifth and sent 10 batters to the plate. The Lady Owls scored five runs in that inning to secure the 6-1 lead.

Smackover retaliated with four in the bottom of the fifth. Karli Goocher singled and, with two outs, Lexie Gilbert singled and drove in a run. Lydia Pullin doubled to drive in courtesy runner Karis Robinson. Megan Mullins followed with a RBI single before Dees doubled in a run to cut the lead to 6-5.

The Lady Bucks tied the game in the sixth when Sabrina Estridge singled, stole second,

moved to third and, with two outs, scored on a passed ball.

McGehee drew first blood with a run in the first. Smackover tied the game in the second when Gilbert stroked a lead-off home run.

Smackover had 13 hits in the game. Gilbert, Pullin, Mullins and Dees had two hits apiece.

In the nightcap, Robinson hurled a three-inning no-hitter as the Lady Bucks buried the Lady Pirates.

Smackover improved to 16-5 overall and 7-0 in conference with Tuesday's sweep against a pair of league foes.

Smackover travels to El Dorado today for a 4 p.m. contest.

Robinson struck out four batters and allowed one walk with one hit batter.

“I thought Karis really pitched a good game for her first varsity start,” said Smackover coach Dennis Steele. “She did a very good job.”

Offensivel­y, Pullin was 3-for-3 with two RBI. Tori Amspaugh was 2-for-2 with a double and two RBI. Gilbert was 2-for-2 with a double and three RBI. Goocher was 2-for-3.

Vanessa Lofton had a two-run double and Reagan Richardson was 1-for-1.
