James P. Stanley, Sr., 83, of El Dorado, passed away Thursday, April 12, 2018, at Oak Ridge Nursing Home. He was born February 6, 1935, to Roscoe and Gladys Little Stanley in Lake Village, AR.

He worked for Radio Service Center and then worked as a service technician for Xerox for many years. After his retirement, from Xerox, he worked for Bailey Funeral Home. James was a member of St. Paul United Methodist Church.

Preceding him in death are his parents, wife, Nan Stanley; two brothers, Leslie Stanley, Lavelle Stanley; and two sisters, Marcelle Winthrop, and Ethelene Parker.

Surv ivors include his son,

Dorado; sister-inlaw, Ann Gentry of Smackover; and two brothersJo­e Bowman (Randa) of Norphlet,

Harold Bowman of Russellvil­le; and numerous nieces and nephews.

Visitation will be held from 5:006:30 p.m. Sunday, April 15, 2018, at Young’s.

Funeral services will be 10:00 a.m. Monday, April 16, 2018, at St. Paul United Methodist Church with Rev. Travis Langley officiatin­g. Burial will follow at Rest Haven Memorial Gardens under the direction of Young’s Funeral Directors.

The family wishes to extend a special thank you to the caregivers at Oak Ridge Nursing Home for the care that provided.
