Funeral for Timothy Dewayne Gibson, 50, will be held at 11 a.m. on Saturday, April 28, 2018 at the Woodlawn Baptist Church in Farmervill­e, Louisiana, with the Rev. Adrian Nelson pastor/officiatin­g. Interment will follow at the Gumspring Cemetery in Farmervill­e.

Visitation will be held from 2 until 6 p.m. today at the Memorial Funeral Home Chapel in Farmervill­e. Services entrusted to Memorial Funeral Home of Farmervill­e, Louisiana.

Funeral for Edith F. Maples, 95, of El Dorado will be held at 2 p.m. today at Three Creeks Baptist Church with the Rev. Bob Inmon and the Rev. Ross Woodbury officiatin­g. Interment will follow in Three Creeks Cemetery under the direction of Young’s Funeral Directors.

Visitation will be held from 1 p.m. until service time at the church.

Funeral for Edith Tims Tucker, daughter of the Rev. WC Tims of Magnolia, will be held at 11 a.m. on Saturday, April 28, 2018 at New Zion Missionary Baptist Church, 1561 Hwy. 19 South, Magnolia, with Pastor Dwayne A. Thompson officiatin­g. Burial will be in 23 Psalm Cemetery, Magnolia, under the direction of Henderson Funeral Service.

There will be public viewing before, during, or after the service.

Obituaries WILLIE DAVIS

Willie Davis, 79, of Smackover died Saturday, April 21, 2018 at MCSA. He was born on Dec. 1, 1938 in Bigelow, to Monie Davis and Coundrie Williams.

He was a member of Russell Temple C.M.E. Church in Smackover. He was an oil field worker and later worked for the City of Smackover. He loved gospel music, good singing and making people laugh.

He was preceded in death by his parents and his wife, Mary H. Grant

Davis. Survivors are; two sons, Randy Davis and Willie P. Davis both of Smackover; three daughters, Sandra Davis Jamerson of El Dorado, Devola Kay Williams of Smackover and Martha Ann Cornelius of Pine Bluff; 18 grandchild­ren and a host of great grandchild­ren.

Funeral service will be held at 11 a.m. on Saturday, April 28, 2018 at New Olive Branch Baptist Church in El Dorado with the Rev. George Williams officiatin­g. Burial will follow in Beech Hill Cemetery in McNeil under the direction of Andrews Funeral Home. Public viewing will be from 1 until 5 p.m. on Friday and from 8 until 9:30 a.m. on Saturday at Andrews Funeral Home Chapel.

BETTY J. HILL

Betty Jo Hill was born Feb. 12, 1941 in the Old Hillsboro Community of El Dorado, to Joe and Lizzie Crew. She was an active member of New Bethel Baptist Church. She enjoyed fishing and cooking. She was especially known for her cream pies and banana pudding.

She passed on April 24, 2018, at the Medical Center of South Arkansas. She was preceded in death by her parents; four brothers and five sisters.

She is survived by one sister, Florence Ellen Hart; two sons, Terry Crew and Tony Hill Sr. (Tracy); two daughters, Angela Williams and Casandra Hannah (Kirk); twelve grandchild­ren, three great grand-children and a host of nieces, nephews, cousins, and dear friends whose lives were enriched by knowing her.

Public visitation will be from 11 a.m. until 5 p.m. on Friday, April 27, 2018 at Sims Mortuary. Funeral services at 11 a.m. on Saturday April 28, 2018 at New Bethel Baptist Church with the Rev. BETTY D. TANTON

Betty “Dianne” Tanton, 73, of El Dorado, passed away on April 25, 2018 at the Medical Center of South Arkansas.

Dianne was born on March

14, 1945 in Spearsvill­e, Louisiana to William and Audrey McDonald. She was a member of Calion Assembly of God Church and enjoyed archery, fishing, and reading. Dianne loved her Arkansas Razorbacks and especially enjoyed watching them play basketball.

She is preceded in death by her parents and siblings.

She is survived by her husband, Glenn Neal Tanton; daughters, Betty (John) Hardaway and Melissa Tanton; grandchild­ren, Bryan (Sarah) Hardaway, Justin (Brianna) Hardaway, Kevin Neely, Mitch Hardaway, Joshua Tanton, and Hanna Hardaway; five great-grandchild­ren; sister-in-laws, Ginger McDonald White and Dianne “Sue” Green; numerous nieces and nephews.

Visitation will be held from 6 until 8 p.m. on Friday, April 27, 2018 at Perry’s Funeral Chapels.

Funeral Services will be held at 2 p.m. on Saturday, April 28, 2018 at Perry’s Funeral Chapels. Followed by Interment at Mount Union Cemetery.

ANNIE B. TUBBS

Annie Bell Tubbs was born May 22, 1929 to Mae Bell and Barnes Davis in El Dorado.

She was a member of Shady Grove Baptist Church where she served as the Church

Mother and the Usher President.

She is preceded in death by her husband Wilbert Tubbs, Sr.; one son, Kennedy Tubbs; two grandchild­ren, Howard Buggs and Lonnie Phillips, Jr., and two sisters, Mae Lou Davis and Thelma Sue Davis.

Survivors are five daughters, Essie Phillips, Luevada Tubbs, Annie White, Essie Marie Tubbs and Sarah Reed (Eugene); six sons, Wilbert Jr. (Dianne) Tubbs, Levell Tubbs (Regina), Lonnie Tubbs, Dennis Tubbs, Timothy Tubbs and Roger Tubbs (Laura); and one brother, Oscar Davis; 45 grandchild­ren, 119 great-grandchild­ren and 48 great-great grandchild­ren.

Public visitation will be from 11 a.m. until 3 p.m. on Friday, April 27, 2018 at Sims Mortuary with a family hour from 5 until 6 p.m. at Shady Grove Baptist Church.

Funeral services will be at 2:30 p.m. on Saturday, April 28, 2018 at Shady Grove Baptist Church with the Rev. Billy W. Miller, eulogist and the Rev. Jimmy Miller, pastor. DOROTHY E. WEATHERFOR­D

Dorothy Eileen Weatherfor­d, 71, of El Dorado, passed away, Wednesday, April 25, 2018, at her residence. She was born Sept. 7, 1946, to Kenneth H. and Dorothy Graham Lowery in El Dorado. She loved shopping and going to flea markets, and was a homemaker. Anyone that knew Eileen, knew she never met a stranger.

Preceding her in death are her parents; husband, Bob Williams; son, Rodney Shane Skipper; and granddaugh­ter, Stephanie Grace Rollins.

Survivors include her son, Sammy Graham; sister, Edna Epps; companion, Vicki Bussey all of El Dorado; nieces Ashley Epps, Aaron Epps, and great-nephews, Nic Saulsbury and Nate Saulsbury.

Visitation will be from noon until 1 p.m. Saturday in Young’s Chapel.

Funeral services will be at 1 p.m. Saturday, April 28, 2018 in Young’s Chapel with the Rev. Bob Inmon officiatin­g. Cremation entrusted to Young’s Funeral Directors.
