Reminder of services JAMES ARCHIE

Funeral for James Archie, 73, will be held at 2:30 p.m. on Saturday, May 5, 2018 at Mt. Sinai Baptist Church in Choudrant. Interment will follow at the Mt. Sinai Church Cemetery.

Visitation will be held from 2 until 5:30 p.m. on Friday, May 4, 2018 at the Memorial Funeral Home Chapel in Farmervill­e. Services entrusted to Memorial Funeral Home of Farmervill­e, Louisiana.

Obituaries RALPH D. CARELOCK

Ralph Donald Carelock of Santa Fe, Texas, passed away at his residence. You might know him by one of his residence. You might know him by one his nicknames, Donald, Ralph, Ralphie, Rafeal, Don or as his loving wife called him “RD”. RD was born in Union County, El Dorado, Arkansas on Nov. 6, 1934 to William Buchanan and Alpha Leister Carelock.

He completed high school in El Dorado, then moved to Galveston, Texas. RD served his country in the US Army in the Military Police Corp. He coached baseball for 13 years, including five years with La Marque Little League. He retired from Marathon Oil Co. after 31 years.

A visitation will be held on Wednesday, May 2, 2018 from 6 until 9 p.m. and the funeral service will be Thursday, May 3, 2018 at 11 a.m. at Crowder Funeral Home in Dickinson, Texas. Burial will follow at Forest Park East in Webster, Texas.

In lieu of flowers, memorials may be made to Ronny Carelock Memorial Athletic Scholarshi­p, c/o Sam Houston State University, Advancemen­t, PO Box 2537, Huntsville, TX 77341-2537.

JAMES A. MCCOY

James Arden McCoy, 74, passed away Tuesday, May 1, 2018 at home in Fort Wayne. Born in Fort Wayne, Jim was a 1961 Elmhurst High School Graduate and a 1965 Purdue University Graduate.

Jim worked as a quality manager with Cooper Industrial Products (Cooper Standards) in Auburn and El Dorado, for 33 years, retiring in 1998. He was a member of Covenant United Methodist Church, Fort Wayne, First United Methodist Church, El Dorado, John Purdue Club, Pi Kappa Alpha, and Civitan. He was also a volunteer with Associated Churches, coached boys’ baseball with the Boys Club of El Dorado, and was a volunteer at Salomon Farm Park. Jim enjoyed hunting, fishing, golf, gardening, woodworkin­g, and playing bridge.

Surviving are his wife of 52 years, Judith McCoy of Fort Wayne; son, Todd Arden (Julianne) McCoy of Hendersonv­ille, Tennessee; daughter, Kelly (Thomas) Hassell of Colliervil­le, Tennessee; five grandchild­ren, Arden Marie

Hassell, David Arden McCoy, Caroline E. Hassell, John T.

Hassell, and Paul G. McCoy; and sister, Sandra (Dean) Anderson of Friendswoo­d, Texas.

James was preceded in death by father, Victor Arden McCoy and mother, Audrey McCoy.

Memorial Service will be at 1 p.m., Saturday, May 5, 2018 at Covenant United Methodist Church, 10001 Coldwater Road with the Rev. Karen Koelsch officiatin­g with calling from 11:30 until 1 p.m. prior to the service. Memorials may be made to the Cancer Services of Northeast Indiana and Associated Churches Food Bank..
