RUSSELLVILLE — Henderson State's Bryant Haralson and Taylor Langston were each named to the 2018 All-Great American Conference First Team on Saturday morning, highlighting a group of six Reddies that were named to the All-GAC squads for this season.

Haralson, a senior from Atkins, Arkansas, earned First Team honors for the second-straight year. He is the first Reddie to receive All-GAC First Team recognition twice in a career. Haralson, who was the 2017 conference Pitcher of the Year, is 9-2 this season with a 3.55 ERA and 90 strikeouts in 99 innings pitched. With a win tonight against Oklahoma Baptist, he can become just the fifth player in program history to notch 20 wins for a career on the mound.

Langston, a junior reliever from Parkers Chapel, was also named to the All-GAC First Team. In his first season with the Reddies, Langston carried a team-best 1.45 ERA, earned eight saves and finished 17 games for Henderson. He has 29 strikeouts in 24.1 innings pitched this year. Langston is the third Reddie reliever to earn First Team All-GAC honors, joining Jordan Wright in 2013 and Nick Vanthillo in 2015.

Junior starter Zach Eschberger earned All-GAC Second Team Recognition. The native of Bullard, Texas, served as Henderson's seven-inning starter and compiled a record of 6-4 with a 3.75 ERA and 62 strikeouts to his credit. The third Reddie pitcher to earn All-GAC honors this year, Eschberger was particularly good against left-handed batters, who he held to a .094 average on the season. Lefty batters were just 5-for-53 against Eschberger on the year.

Caleb Carr, Zack Gray and Nolan Ryan rounded out the honorees for Henderson, as each garnered AllGAC Honorable Mention recognition.

Carr, a freshman outfielder from White Hall, Arkansas, was the leadoff hitter for the Reddies over the second half of the year, and boasted a .372 average at the plate with a .506 slugging percentage and 42 hits in 28 starts.

Gray, a senior transfer from DI High Point University, provided a big bat in the lineup for Henderson at first base and led the team with nine home runs, 41 RBIs and 42 walks this season.
