RICKY L. GRAHAM

Ricky L. (Monk) Graham passed away Sunday May 6, 2018 after a courageous battle with pancreatic cancer.

Born in Newport, to Bedford

L. “B.L.” Graham and

Dewey St.

Claire. Monk was known by most as a mason worker and was well respected as an expert craftsman by his peers having worked many years for his friend Cobb Herring. He was not a man of many words but got his point across just the same by his actions and beliefs. He believed in hard work and exhibited it every day and encouraged others to do the same. Many of the people that worked with him over the years learned a lot about not only his trade but many life lessons were delivered to them as well from the man they knew as “Mr. Monk”. Monk loved his family and was especially fond of his Grand kids and loved spending time with them. His favorite activity was fishing and not once would he turn down an invitation to go even during the last few days of his life. For him, a fishing trip could never start too early in the day or end too late. He for sure had a great appreciation for God’s outdoor creations. Monk has left this place but his suffering has ended as he is in the presence of the Lord and has received His grace just as promised to all believers in Jesus Christ our savior. He will be missed but his memories will not be forgotten by his beloved family and friends.

Preceding him in death are his parents and a brother, Stanley Robert Graham.

Survivors are Penny Graham of El Dorado; his daughter, Jenny Robertson and husband Don of Ruston, Louisiana; his brother, Phillip Graham and wife Pam of Leesville, Louisiana; sister, Cathy Vaneck and husband Randy of Crawford, Texas; Step Mom, Becky Graham of El Dorado, grandchildren, Cole Robertson and wife Rachel of West Monroe, Louisiana and Madison and Preston Robertson of Ruston, Louisiana; one unborn grandchild; one unborn great-grandchild; and numerous nieces and nephews.

There will be a family gathering in his honor of his life at a later date. The family is requesting that Memorial Donations be made in Monks name to Med Camps of Louisiana, Inc., 102 Thomas Road, Suite 615, West Monroe, LA 71291 or Team Corrie Foundation, 145 Parker Drive , El Dorado, AR 71730.
