Speaker's Circuit
Alan Cochran will be the speaker when Rotary Club meets at noon Monday at St. Mary’s Parish Hall.
He is MHA, President & Executive Director of Arkansas Regional Organ Recovery Agency (ARORA).
Cochran is originally from Kansas City, Missouri. He graduated from Graceland University in Lamoni, Iowa and began his career in healthcare with Upjohn Pharmaceuticals. He transitioned to working with an organization called Osteotech while in Kansas City where he became an advocate for Organ and Tissue Donation through his work. Osteotech created innovative methods to safely prepare human bone and soft tissue for transplantation. Osteotech relocated him to Los Angeles, California. Leaving Osteotech he took a career opportunity with The American Red Cross Biomedical Services and when he left, after 10 years, he was responsible for overseeing the national efforts for donor development and as the liaison to Organ Procurement Organizations that worked with the American Red Cross in the important work of increasing organ and tissue donation.
The Organ Procurement Organization, OneLegacy, based in Los Angeles brought Alan on board from the American Red Cross as Director of Tissue Operations and finally as Vice President of Quality Systems. In 2015, after 15 years of employment with OneLegacy, Alan relocated to Arkansas and became the President & Executive Director of Arkansas Regional Organ Recovery Agency (ARORA). ARORA’s mission is to Restore Life through organ and tissue donation. Ryan Jackson will be the speaker when the Kiwanis Club meets at noon Wednesday at First Presbyterian Church.
Jackson is with Stevens Forestry Service, Inc.
Our foresters are members of the Association of Consulting Foresters of America, Inc., the Society of American Foresters, the Forest Landowners Association, the Forest Landowners Tax Council, the Arkansas Forestry Association, and the Louisiana Forestry Association. We employ an Arkansas State Registered Appraiser and Real Estate Broker. Our foresters are required by the Association of Consulting Foresters to complete 20 hours of continuing education every two years. Our foresters are also registered in the State of Arkansas and required by the state to receive 8 hours of continuing education each year. Foresters are certified foresters with the Society of American Foresters.
