Top 10 percent graduate, Sadie Goss is the daughter of Crissy and Gary Goss of Norphlet. Her scholarshi­ps include: Doragney Scholar Program for $90,000, Provost Academic Excellence for $18,000 per year, Chancellor’s Leadership Corps for $14,000, AR Academic Challenge for $1,000. She is a member of golf varsity, placing forth individual at district, track varsity and tennis varsity where she placed runner up in singles at district. She also participat­ed in Student Council as president, Beta president, Future Business Leaders of America chapter president, Future Business Leaders of America District III secretary, the Yaya Book Club and Quiz Bowl Captain. After graduating as valedictor­ian and honor graduate from Parkers Chapel High School, she plans to attend the University of Arkansas of Little Rock and double major in criminal justice and biology with a concentrat­ion in molecular technology. Top 10 percent graduate, Emily Housdan,

daughter of KayAnn and James Housdan of El Dorado, has been awarded the Henderson State University Presidenti­al Tier 1 scholarshi­p ($10,000); the Henderson State University Band scholarshi­p ($2,000); the Academic Challenge scholarshi­p ($14,000); the Parkers Chapel Foundation scholarshi­p ($500); a Southern Arkansas University scholarshi­p ($9,000); and the University of Central Arkansas Academic Excellence scholarshi­p ($7,000). She is an Honor graduate and salutatori­an of her class. She participat­ed in the 2018 Governor Scholars Day. She is the drum major and band officer for the Parkers Chapel High School band and is a member of Beta Club, Future Business Leaders of America and the YaYa book club. She attends Hillsboro Church of Christ where she volunteers in the food pantry, and she also volunteers at the South Arkansas Community College and Parkers Chapel Elementary School libraries, as well as the counselor’s office. Housdan plans to attend Henderson State University and major in history, with a minor in museum studies. Top 10 percent graduate, Charleston Baker

is the daughter of Anne Cauthron of El Dorado. Her scholarshi­ps include: AR Academic Challenge for $11,000, Vanderbilt need-based grant for $50,918 and the Hendrix College Academic Scholarshi­p for $26,000. She was chapter secretary and district III parliament­arian of the Future Business Leaders of America, chapter vice president of Beta, senior class officer and Student Council class representa­tive. After graduating from Parkers Chapel High School, she plans to attend Vanderbilt University and major in human and organizati­onal developmen­t. Top 10 percent graduate, Laura Palculict,

daughter of Eugenia Palculict of Parkers Chapel, and Eric Palculict of Louisiana, has been awarded the Arkansas Academic Challenge scholarshi­p ($14,000); the Top 10 percent scholarshi­p ($26,400); and the Parkers Chapel Education Foundation scholarshi­p ($500). She is an Honors Graduate, graduating in the top 10 percent of her class. She is the leader of the P7 Bible Club, a member of Beta Club and a reporter for the journalism club. She is a member of Pentecosta­ls of El Dorado, and helps with volunteer efforts like car washes and food drives. Palculict plans to attend Southern Arkansas University and major in elementary education.

Top 10 percent graduate, Leslie Palculict, daughter of Eric Palculict of Spearsvill­e, La., has been awarded the Parkers Chapel Education Foundation scholarshi­p ($500); the Top Ten percent scholarshi­p ($26,400); and the Arkansas Lottery scholarshi­p ($14,000 over four years). She is an Honor Graduate, graduating in the top 10 percent of her class. She is the leader of the P7 Bible Club, a member of Beta Club and a reporter for the journalism club. She is a member of Pentecosta­ls of El Dorado, where she sings and helps with volunteer efforts like donation drives. Palculict plans to attend Southern Arkansas University and is considerin­g majoring in speech pathology. She is also considerin­g Louisiana Tech University for post-graduate studies.

Hannah Barbaree is the daughter of Leslie and

Dwayne Barbaree of El Dorado. Her scholarshi­ps include: AR Academic Challenge for $14,000, University of Arkansas Leadership Scholarshi­p for $8,000, Parkers Chapel Education Foundation for $500. She played varsity softball, basketball, tennis, cross country and track. She was also the senior class secretary, Beta Club treasurer, Future Business Leaders of America member, Student Council class representa­tive. She will be an honor graduate of Parkers Chapel High School and plans to attend the University of Arkansas and major in biology.

Caitlin Barker is the daughter of Carolyn and Robert Barker of El Dorado. Her scholarshi­ps include: AR Academic Challenge for $14,000 and the SAU Merit Scholarshi­p for $1,500 per semester. After graduation from Parkers Chapel High School she plans to attend South Arkansas University Technical College and major in nursing.

Taylor Bates is the daughter of Becky Shew, of Quitman, Louisiana, and Randy Bates of El Dorado. Her scholarshi­ps include: AR Academic Challenge for $14,000 and an Achievemen­t award for $1,000. She was a member of Beta and held a leadership role as an office cashier at Brookshire’s. After graduating from Parkers Chapel High School she plans to attend Southern Arkansas University and major in psychology.

Shelby Blackburn is the daughter of Michelle and Danny Blackburn of El Dorado. Her scholarshi­ps include: a Parkers Chapel Education Foundation scholarshi­p. She also took part in the cosmetolog­y program during her senior year. After graduating from Parkers Chapel High School she will attend the Peachtree School of Dental Assisting and major in dental assisting.

Isaiah Brown is the son of Shavon and Eric Brown of El Dorado. He is a member of the high school basketball team and attends church at Gentle Hands Ministry in Farmervill­e, Louisiana. After he graduates from Parkers Chapel High School, he plans to attend Southern Arkansas University and major in kinesiolog­y.

Elizabeth Caty is the daughter of Doris and David Nesbitt of El Dorado. After graduating from Parkers Chapel High School, she plans to attend South Arkansas Community College and major in biology and pediatrics.

Devon Coke is the son of Nancy and Charles Benham, of Jonesboro, and Ronnie Coke of El Dorado. After graduating from Parkers Chapel High School, he will enter the workforce.

Ty Couch is the son of Ronda and Steve Couch of El Dorado. His scholarshi­ps include: AR Academic Challenge for $4,000, Weevil Excellence for $6,000 and the Pakers Chapel Education Foundation for $500. He participat­ed in Beta club and Student Council. After graduating from Parkers Chapel High School, he plans to attend technical school at the University of Arkansas at Monticello at Crossett and major in E&I.

Ethon Cousins is the son of Brad Cousin of Mountain Home. He was a member of the football team. After graduation at Parkers Chapel High School, he plans to attend Arkansas State and major in psychology. Christian Cucalon is the son of Lisa and David Cucalon of El Dorado. After graduation from Parkers Chapel High School, he plans to attend South Arkansas University and major in welding. Nathanael Evans is the son of Tarah and Randy Evans of El Dorado. His scholarshi­ps include: South Arkansas University Award for $36,000, Arkansas Tech University Scholarshi­p for $32,000, AR Academic challenge for $14,000, Crowley’s Ridge College academic scholarshi­p for $30,000, Crowley’s Ridge college Basketball Athletic Scholarshi­p for $18,000 and Parkers Chapel Education Foundation Scholarshi­p for $500. He also participat­ed in All State Basketball. After graduating from Parkers Chapel High School, he will be attending Crowley’s Ridge College and major in physical and health education. Austin Fruge is the son of Lauri and Milton Furge of El Dorado. He participat­ed in BETA club. He also was a member of the Tennis Team and was a state runner Dirstict Double Championsh­ip. After graduating from Parkers Chapel High School, he plans to attend South Arkansas University at Crossett and major in plant and soil science.

Destiny Gaston is the daughter of Barbara Howell of El Dorado and Lynnwood Howell of Magnolia. After graduating from Parkers Chapel High School, she plans to attend South Arkansas University and major in business.

Dawson Goodwin is the son of Karla and Rodney Goodwin of El Dorado. His scholarshi­ps include: AR Academic challenge for $4,500 and the Founders Scholarshi­p for $56,000. He was a member of the All State basketball, football, cross country and track. He also participat­ed in Future Business Leaders of America, Student Council, Beta club and Gifted and Talented. After graduating from Parkers Chapel High School, he will be attending Ouachita Baptist University.

Makenna Greer is the daughter of Blanche and Matthew Greer of El Dorado. Her scholarshi­ps include: SAU Achievemen­t Award for $8,000, Arkansas Academic challenge for $14,000. She was the captain of the varsity cheer squad, and a member of varsity track. She also participat­ed as Beta Club treasurer, Student Council secretary and a member of Future Business Leaders of America. After graduating as a honor graduate from Parkers Chapel High School, she plans to attend Southern Arkansas university where she will major in nursing. De’Alaysia Grider is the daughter of Detria Grinder. Her scholarshi­ps include: the Parkers Chapel Education Foundation scholarshi­p and the AR academic Challenge. After graduation from Parkers Chapel High School, she plans to attend Southern University Shreveport Louisiana and major in criminal justice. Reece Griffin is the son of Lindsey Griffin, of Junction City and Lane Griffin of El Dorado. His scholarshi­ps include the Parkers Chapel Foundation Scholarshi­p. He was a member of the football team as a right tackle and middle linebacker, baseball as first baseman and pitcher, where he received the Most Improved award and Hustle award, basketball abs guard and cross country where he received Most Improved. He plans to attend Southern Arkansas University and major in physical education. Scotty Gross, son of Becky and Brian Gross of Parkers Chapel, plans to enter the workforce after graduation. Amonta Harris, son of Tia and Lamort Harris of El Dorado, Ark., plays running back and linebacker for the Trojan football team and runs track. Kayla Hassinger, daughter of Tammy and Steve McGuire of El Dorado, Ark., plans to attend South Arkansas Community College and major in health. Da’qua Henderson, son of Anesha Henderson, plans to attend college after graduation. Logan Hudgins, son of Amanda and Chris Rogers of El Dorado, has been awarded the Parkers Chapel Education Foundation scholarshi­p ($500); the Academic Challenge scholarshi­p ($14,000); and the Arkansas Future scholarshi­p ($13,638). He attends Buckner Baptist Church. Hudgins plans to attend South Arkansas Community College and major in process technology. Matthew Kelley, son of Kristi Kelley of Norphlet, and Jeff Kelley of Parkers Chapel, has been awarded the Parkers Chapel Education Foundation scholarshi­p. He plans to attend Southern Arkansas University and major in game design and programmin­g. Braxton Kinley, son of Leslie and Wes Cates and the late Danny Kinley of Parkers Chapel, plans to attend the University of Arkansas at Monticello College of Technology at Crossett and major in electromec­hanical instrument­ation. Courtney Lambert, daughter of Jennifer and Stephen Vestal of Parkers Chapel, plans to attend South Arkansas Community College and major in respirator­y therapy. of El Dorado, is a member of Wyatt Baptist Church. Terri Malone, daughter of Molly and Terry Malone, has received the Parkers Chapel Education

Foundation scholarshi­p. She plays on the Trojans girls basketball and softball teams, and is a member of the track team. She is a member of the yearbook club. She attends Redeemed at the Cross Church. Malone plans to attend Arkansas Tech University and major in occupation­al therapy.

Austin Massey, son of Christina and Chris Turbeville of Parkers Chapel, plays cornerback for the Trojan football team and runs on the track team. He is a member of the yearbook club. Massey plans to attend South Arkansas Community College and major in welding.

Brennan McGoogan, son of Michael McGoogan of Parkers Chapel, plans to attend the University of Central Arkansas and major in E&I technology.

Josh Milam, son of Vicki and Eric Milam of El Dorado, has been awarded the Weevil Excellence scholarshi­p ($6,000) and the Parkers Chapel Education Foundation scholarshi­p ($500). He serves as president of his senior class and is a member of the Student Council, Beta Club, the Gifted and Talented program and Future Business Leaders of America. Milam plans to attend the University of Arkansas at Monticello College of Technology at Crossett and major in E&I technology. He also plans to enroll in equipment operator apprentice­ship program at Evers Electric.

Canon Morgan, son of Tara and Bradley Morgan of El Dorado, is a varsity All-Conference Trojan basketball player, a varsity All-Conference and AllArea Trojan football player and a varsity All-State track team member. He is a member of Future Business Leaders of America and the Fellowship of Christian Athletes. He attends Parkers Chapel First Baptist Church. Morgan plans to attend Ouachita Baptist University and major in physical therapy. Jakeb Murphey, son of Kathy and Michael Noone of El Dorado, is a Trojan basketball and football team member. He is a member of the P7 club. He attends the First Assembly of God Church in El Dorado and has volunteere­d with the Salvation Army. Murphey plans to enter the workforce after graduation. Joseph Robinson, son of Lisa and Mark Robinson of El Dorado, is a member of the Gifted and Talented program. He plans to join the United States Marine Corps upon graduation. Janalyn Alexa Simpson, daughter of Latoya Dixon of El Dorado, has been awarded the Henderson State University Reddie Achievemen­t scholarshi­p ($25,000 per year); the Arkansas

Academic Challenge scholarshi­p ($14,000); the Parkers Chapel Education Foundation scholarshi­p ($500); and the Frankie Andrews Concert Choir scholarshi­p. She is a member of Beta Club and Future Business Leaders of America. She attends Bethlehem Missionary Baptist Church and works with the Frankie Andrews Next Generation Concert Choir. Simpson plans to attend South Arkansas Community College and major in nursing.

Justin Shields, son of Angie and Breck Shields of El Dorado, is a member of the Gifted and Talented program. He plans to join the workforce after graduation and work as a welder.

Savannah Slaughter, daughter of Melissa and Steve Slaughter of El Dorado, is a member of the varsity Trojan softball team, as well as the Trojan tennis, basketball and cross country and track teams. She is a member of Beta Club, Student Council and Campfire. She attends First Baptist Church of El Dorado. Slaughter plans to attend South Arkansas Community College and major in their PTA program. Brian Smith Jr., son of Brian and Vada Smith, plans to attend the University of Arkansas at Pine Bluff and major in engineerin­g.

Allison Snider, daughter of Carolyn and Darrin Snider of Parkers Chapel, has been awarded the Arkansas Academic Challenge scholarshi­p ($14,000); the Parkers Chapel Education Foundation scholarshi­p ($500); and the South Arkansas Community College Freshman Recognitio­n scholarshi­p. She is an Honors Graduate. She is a member of Beta Club and the Yaya book club. Snider plans to attend South Arkansas Community College and major in their PTA program. Julia Stinson, daughter of Jonna and Jeff Stinson of El Dorado, has received the Parkers Chapel Education Foundation scholarshi­p. She is a member of the Yaya book club and the yearbook club. She attends College Avenue Church of Christ. Stinson plans to attend South Arkansas Community College and major in early childhood education. Sarah Taylor, daughter of Rebecca and Mark Taylor of Parkers Chapel, is a member of the yearbook club, where she serves as editor, and Future Business Leaders of America. She plans to attend South Arkansas Community College and major in photograph­y. Casey Thurlkill, daughter of Brenda Maddox and Michael Thurlkill of Parkers Chapel, has been awarded the Arkansas Academic Challenge scholarshi­p ($14,000); a Pell Grant ($3,500); and the Parkers Chapel Education Foundation scholarshi­p ($500). She is an Honor Graduate, graduating in

the top 10 percent of her class. She is a member of Beta Club, Future Business Leaders of America, the Yaya book club and the yearbook club. She volunteers with Relay for Life. Thurlkill plans to attend South Arkansas Community College and major in psychology and art.

Brooklynn Turbeville, daughter of Tamara and Ken Turbeville of Strong, has been awarded the Parkers Chapel Education Foundation scholarshi­p. She is a member of Student Council and Future Business Leaders of America. Turbeville plans to attend South Arkansas Community College and major in psychology.

Dakota Williams, son of Christie Ham and John Pickering of El Dorado, has been awarded the Southern Arkansas University Academic Achievemen­t Award ($8,000). He plans to attend Southern Arkansas University.

Chris Wilson, grandson of Diane and Joey Wilson of El Dorado, plans to join the workforce after graduation and work as a welder.

Brendan Winchester, son of Alice Winchester of Mount Holly, and Daniel Winchester of Norphlet, has been awarded the Arkansas Academic Challenge ($14,000); the George Beadle scholarshi­p ($58,000); the Rocky Mountain Scholars award ($38,500); the Arizona State Provost’s award ($58,000); and the Lyon College Trustee Scholarshi­p ($72,000). He is a varsity football linebacker and a varsity member of the cross country and track and field teams. He serves as president for his senior class, treasurer for Future Business Leaders of America, is the Student Council’s 12th grade representa­tive, and is a member of Beta Club. Winchester plans to attend Lyon College and major in biology.
