CHRISTINE CAMPBELL
It is with great sadness that the family of Christine Campbell, of Russellville, AR, announces her passing after a brief illness, on Thursday, May 17, 2018, at the age of 94 years. Born in Lillie, Louisiana on August 13, 1923, she was the daughter of
Willie and Odessa Hollis Thomas.
She was preceded in death by her parents, her husband, G. E. “Bud” Campbell, and two granddaughters, Beverly Taylor and Lori Taylor.
Christine will be forever remembered by her children, Cathy Wilbourn and husband, Edward of Russellville, Grady Darrell Taylor and wife, Bonnie, of Crossett, Terri Lindsey and Debbie Taylor of Vilonia. She will be missed by grandchildren, Pam Turner and husband, Joe, Jimmy Wilbourn and wife, Cathy, Jennifer Walker and husband, Edwin, and Neal Campbell. Christine is survived by sisters, Helen Cranford, Lucille Cottrell, Janelle Snider, Julianne Harper and husband, Charles; one brother, Austin Thomas along with a sister-in-law Sybil Thomas. Christine had 13 great-grandchildren and 18 great-great grandchildren. Christine was a pillar of strength and love for our family and will be greatly missed.
Visitation will be today between 5:00 PM and 7:00 PM at Young’s Funeral Home.
Funeral services will be held at 2:00 p.m. Tuesday, May 22, 2018 in Young’s Chapel with Rev. Billy Smith officiating. Interment will follow in Arlington Memorial Park under the direction of Young’s Funeral Directors with Mrs. Campbell’s great-grandsons serving as pallbearers.
