El Dorado News-Times

Letters to the Editor

To the Editor:

It was with great trepidation of spirit that I read the El Dorado News-Times article of Sunday, May 20, 2018, page 8A. I read the article the first time and got a little perturbed as I concluded it. I read it a second time and became excessively angry. The top of the instrument was called a letter; the bottom was deemed an advertisement. At the time I deemed it to be correctly a CABAL (a group of plotters or political conspirators) against my place of domicile.

I figure that I shall be here until I get to that place where from who is born, no traveler returns. Other fellow residents of mine expressed feelings such as: hurt, anger, crying, disgust, dismay, discouragement, and downright sickening. I am certain many of the public reading of this instrument have emotions about this cabal.

An educator visited me on Memorial Day and brought up this subject. He called it disturbing. Many other things it could be called. Some are thinking these failures have all been cited as corrected. If something has been corrected, why let it surface again? Is it truly a cabal?

The lawyer who had this published is Kyle Ludwig. He has a degree from our beloved Southern Arkansas University. I thought he must be a native son of south Arkansas. I called a man here in El Dorado by the same name. This son of the late “Shorty” Ludwig stated he did not know the man and did not have any DNA with him. Thank God! The Ludwigs of El Dorado are fine people.

Who is the most important person in Timberlane Health & Rehab? We are told it is the resident above all others.

Editor’s note: The referenced subject printed on page 8A of the May 20 edition was not an El Dorado News-Times article but a paid advertisement. To the Editor:

The runoff election for mayor is set for Tuesday, June 19; early voting begins June 12 and continues through June 18 at the Union County Courthouse. Please go vote! Additionally, I ask that you support the front-runner for mayor, Bill Luther. His 39-year career with Entergy as a professional engineer and customer service manager sets him apart. Bill Luther may be the most qualified candidate to submit himself for this office in the past 40 years. Bill will be an outstanding administrator and an asset for our community.
