Funeral for Wendell Dawson Garrett Jr., 63, of El Dorado will be held at 11 a.m. on Thursday, June 7, 2018 at Haynesvill­e United Methodist Church with the Rev. Fred Wideman officiatin­g. Preceding the service the family will receive visitors at the church from 10 until 11 a.m. Interment will follow the service at Shady Grove Cemetery in Haynesvill­e, Louisiana under the direction of Bailey Funeral Home.

BETTY WARFORD BRADLEY

Betty (B.J.) Bradley, 87, of Poway, California passed away peacefully on May 5, 2018 after a short illness. Betty was born

June 20,

1930 in

El Dorado to Luther and Grace Warford. Betty was predecease­d by her parents, sisters Lois McLaughlin and Ruth Boyd and brother Charles Warford. Betty graduated from El Dorado High School in 1948. As a teen, she was employed at the Majestic and Rialto Theaters as an usherette.

Betty married Merrill Bradley from Wesson in 1949 and their marriage lasted 67 years until his death in 2017. Betty retired from the NCR Corporatio­n as an Executive Secretary in 1987.

Her retirement years were filled with antique shopping, casino visits and fun with her grandchild­ren. Betty was an excellent cook and could whip up a pan of buttermilk biscuits faster than anyone. She was adored by all her family, which includes 7 grandchild­ren and 11 great-grandchild­ren.

She is survived by her son Patrick and daughterin-law, Deborah of Tucker, Georgia, and his daughter, Susan and her son-in-law, James La Joie of Poway, California. She was predecease­d by her son Michael Glenn in 2014.

Interment of her cremains will be at the Wesson Cemetery at 11 a.m. on June 9, 2018.

CECIL G. RICHEY JR.

Cecil Gene Richey, Jr., 70, of El Dorado passed away on Sunday, June 3, 2018 at the John R. Williamson Hospice House. Cecil was born on Oct.

Richey in Haynesvill­e, Louisiana. He worked for and retired from Chemtura. To say he loved to hunt would be an understate­ment but the highlight of hunting season was the time he spent with his family and friends out at the Hilo Hunting Camp.

Preceding him in death are his parents; wife and mother of his children, Linda Gayle Jones Richey; brother, Erick Richey; and great-grandchild, Heaven Fitzgerald.

Those left to cherish his memories are wife, Kimberly Barnes Richey; sister, Melynda Robbins (David); son, Trey Richey (Lindi); daughters, Teri Howard (Keldon), Toni Goff (Jimmy Dean), and Tonya Richey; grandchild­ren, Will Richey, Chad Alphin (Kim), Kelsey Howard (Logan Selman), Timberly Richards (Damien), Amanda Miller (Joey), Whitney Anthony, Zachary Marshall (Kelsey), Megan McRae, Jessica McRae, Shanda Webb; seventeen great-grandchild­ren; step-children, Ellis Barnes, Larry Barnes, and Pamela Barnes; and lifelong friends, Dan and Carrie Jones.

Visitation will held on Tuesday, June 5, 2018 from 6 until 8 p.m. at the home of Keldon and Teri Howard located at 5979 Moro Bay Hwy., El Dorado, AR. A memorial service will be held at 2 p.m. on Wednesday, June 6, 2018 at Perry’s Funeral Chapels with Bro. Luther Harris and Bro Steve Morris officiatin­g.

In lieu of flowers the family request that donations be made in Cecil’s honor to the John R. Williamson Hospice House at 2301 Champagnol­le Rd., El Dorado, AR 71730.
