Funeral for MC Fields, 78, will be held at 11 a.m. on Saturday, June 16, 2018 at the Zion Hill Missionary Baptist Church in Farmervill­e, the Rev. Tommy L. Carr, pastor. Interment will follow at the Zion Hill Church Cemetery. Visitation will be held from 2 until 6 p.m. Friday, June 15, 2018 at the Memorial Funeral Home Chapel in Farmervill­e, Louisiana.

Obituaries JOYCE A. CARTER

Joyce Ann Collins Carter of El Dorado passed peacefully away on Saturday, June 2, 2018 following a brief illness. A sixty-year resident of El Dorado, Joyce was born on Jan. 7, 1938 in Savannah, Georgia to Lonie and Bennie Collins. She met her husband of fifty-two years, James Edward “Jimmy” Carter and moved to El Dorado to raise their family. Joyce was preceded in death by her parents, her husband, her son John

H. Carter, and her brother

Vernon Collins.

Joyce graduated from Commercial High School in Savannah. She spent many years raising her family and when her children were older, she found happy employment putting her meticulous bookkeepin­g skills to use, first at Rushing Oil, and then for many years at South Arkansas Oil Company, finally retiring to have more time for grandchild­ren and a true passion - golf. Joyce found great friendship­s in the WGA through the years that she and Jimmy were members at the Smackover Country Club and the El Dorado Golf and Country Club, even having a tournament named in her honor, the Carter Cup.

Besides golf, her other passions were her grandchild­ren and traveling to “the boat” with dear friends. Joyce enjoyed traveling with family and walked a million miles on some of those trips.

Joyce is survived by her daughter Debbie Carter Mulvenna and husband Carlo of New Orleans, grandchild­ren James Alexander Mulvenna of New Orleans and Ryan Elizabeth Mulvenna of Washington DC, sisters-in-law Mary Ruth Ball of Hermitage and Atlanta, Jeanette Collins of Savannah, brothers-in-law and love Bob Lukas of Benton, and Beverly Joel Lambert III of Little Rock, her nieces, nephews, extended Mulvenna family, and many friends.

Visitation will be held from 5 until 7 p.m.

Friday, June 15, 2018 at Young’s.

A celebratio­n of life service will be held on Saturday, June 16 at 11 a.m. at First United Methodist Church, 201 South Hill Avenue with interment preceding the service at 9 a.m. at Rest Haven Memorial Gardens, Highway 335.

Memorial gifts may be made to First United Methodist Church of El Dorado, Chateau de Notre Dame Hospice at cdnd.org, or to the organizati­on of choice.

MADISON A. LEVINGSTON

Madison Arvet Levingston, 13, of Little Rock, departed this life June 5, 2018. She was preceded in death by a sister, Heaven Levingston; and two brothers, Demetrio Levingston Jr. and Alpha Cobin III; and her grandfathe­r, Delton Marbray.
